Maybe I just need to see it in action then.

The lite-RPG aspects would be leveling up, acquiring items/weapons, stuff like that. And yes, you'll be able to play alone or with 1, 2, or 3 others.

                More Castle Crashers stuff:

                Animal Orbs
Animal Orbs provide various bonuses and enhancements. Once found, these helpers will float next to the player and automatically provide a bonus. The list below will slowly unlock as we get closer to launch, but not all orbs will be unveiled on this site. We currently have a total of 23 animal orbs in the game.

                It’s Owlet
Although we’ve previously mentioned we don’t like to name things in our game, with animal orbs we’ve made an exception. Say hello to Owlet. His bonus consists of flying around while you fight off the endless hordes of enemies and bring you much needed food you will need to survive.

                More to come!

Pretty neat update Xbox.com got today. I like that you can now view recent players on the website.

Ikaruga and Poker Smash DLC this Wednesday

One of the most anticipated downloadable ports in recent memory is headed to the Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, as Ikaruga has been announced as this week's downloadable release.

Though largely a straight port of Treasure's arcade/Dreamcast/GameCube cult favorite shoot-'em-up, the Xbox Live Arcade version of Ikaruga comes complete with two-player co-op play (both local and online), leaderboards, and an all-new record/replay function. Ikaruga will be available for 800 Microsoft points ($10) on Wednesday, April 9th at 1:00am (PDT).
Also on tap for early Wednesday morning are two new premium content packs for Void Star Creations' acclaimed puzzler, Poker Smash. The Environment Pack will add two new settings to the Action Mode, while the Puzzle Pack is set to deliver 15 more puzzles (to bring the grand total to 70). Each pack will be sold for 100 Microsoft points ($1.25).

                        IGN: Ikaruga Review - 9.0

There may not ever be a better 2D shooter on Xbox Live Arcade. Ikaruga is that good. The only downside to the game is exactly what makes it so compelling for most; the challenge. Casual gamers may find themselves overwhelmed and unable to scratch the surface of this classic. That would be a shame, though, as this is easily one of the best titles on the Live Arcade.

own Ikaruga on dreamcast and gamecube.

I swear xbl needs something new!

How about the Simpsons arcade and TMNT II - Turtles in Time.

or Ninja Gaiden Arcade! something we actually wanted!
