lol, I'm gonna do that. I sent out the call for the coffin, and when I get a refurbished console back, I'll throw it up on ebay and wash my hands of the whole thing.
It sucks, but I gave them 3 strikes, and even a couple of free passes on a couple of cracked games they wouldn't replace for me anyways.

yea at the pinnacle before my DVD drive actually stopped reading discs all together it would crack them too.
notice a trend here? most of the games people are talking about in this thread are EA games. same thing happened to me with UEFA CL 06-07, an EA game. I've not had trouble with any other game yet.
I treated the disc with utmost care. One day it wouldn't boot up and it wasn't until I looked at it very closely that I saw the disc had a small crack running from the inner ring of plastic out into the disc surface.
My theory is the disc is weakened by the heat, cool down, and pushing/pulling the disc on/off the case peg. I no longer push my discs on the case peg but put them in a sleeve.
Same thing happened to me. Played NCAA 08, had a game in the 4th going down to the wire, then all of the sudden it said "unreadable disc." I was pissed about the hour I had just lost playing, then I saw the crack in the disc and got even more pissed. Thankfully I was able to rebuy NCAA for $22 when Circuit City had that typo in their ad.
I always take discs out before I shut down the console and now keep all of my games in one of those zippered CD holders. No problems since.
I need to get a cd holder for all of my movies and games. I usually have 2 or 3 games on top of my 360 anyways because I am to lazy to get the cases back out.
