    Firmware update 2.50 rumored to have screen grabbing?

    CVG has learnt that Sony's next firmware update for PlayStation 3 will include an option for screen grabbing, allowing you to take your own shots of what you get up to on your PS3.

    Sony hasn't announced anything about a 2.5 update yet and won't even discuss the subject. We'll file this one under 'wait and see' for the time being.


    A development source has told CVG that PS3 firmware update 2.5 is rumoured to have screen grabbing built in.

    Exactly how this would be done and what you could do with the shots once you've grabbed a piece of the action isn't yet known. But you've got to reckon that uploading them to a server and showing off and using the images as themes would be a safe bet.

                                Does anyone have a backpack for traveling with your PS3? I usually take my PS3 with me when I go places but I just wrap it up in a towel to keep it protected. I'd like to have a backpack or something for it if there was enough room for a couple controllers and a few game cases.

                                I see this bag on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Playstation-3-...9868347&sr=8-2

                                It says it will hold 4 controllers and 3 games but there is no pic of the inside of the bag, so I'm hesitant. Anyone have a travel bag for their PS3 that they'd recommend?

                                    I have a Swiss Army backpack I use for my laptop that might be good for the PS3. It's extremely padded and has many pockets and stuff that could be used for the cords and controllers. I got it at Best Buy.

                                        I won a official Xbox bag at a NFL 2k5 event back in the day and I've used that to cart a Wii around (and put my 360 in it when I moved). It's extra padded and whatnot. I'd just look for something that has a lot of padding and good pockets for what you'll be carrying. Maybe look at the "official" bags at the store and then find a better non-gaming one. I like mine but I wouldn't go "official" if I was buying one myself.

                                            Yeah I have a swiss army laptop back pack too, and it's great, but it's for my laptop of course.

                                                    Nope, not imagining it. PixelEden Junk already has it.

                                                    I'm sure early/mid 09 we will start seeing it in games as of now games are too late in development to be putting YouTube support.

                                                    I'm sure MLB The Show 09 will have it as it was hinted at E3.
