Cool, I will check that out. Crazy how BB tries to sell those cables for $60 bucks. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and get one so that way I can have my 360 and PS3 hooked up at the same time. With the cables, I have to unplug them; not a big deal but would make life a little easier.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Those that own a PS3 Slim, I found this cool PowerA adapter which plugs right into one of your USB ports and gives you a total of 4 USB ports + a Card Reader. None of it is with USB cables, plugs right into the front of the system. Best Buy was selling it for $20?
Would you trust something like that?

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I was considering it for the USB ports......I don't care too much for the media device portion, but I was looking to use one a few weeks back on the PS3 and remembered I didn't have that anymore. LOL! I like this better than a hub since there are no extra cables/wires hanging around. My charge station and PSEye drive me nuts at times since I can see the cables.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Question for the PS3 vets: I have a 32-inch 720p Samsung HDTV. I have component cables that can be used for multiple systems (GameStop's brand, I think) and I use that for my 360 and PS2. Should I also use that for the PS3?
I know you can hook up a PS3 with an HDMI cable, but I was under the impression that if your TV didn't support 1080, it wasn't worth it to use the HDMI. Is that correct?
And yes, regarding the PS3's, you have to get extremely lucky. I scooped mine up at a Best Buy last week. Last one on the shelf. I had been looking for 2 months with no success. I think it's b/c Sony is making all the Slim's the 2101 model.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Most console games are only 720p anyway. The difference tho is HUGE, and I mean huge. It is certainly worth picking up a HDMI, What isn't worth getting is some expensive gamestop ****. Any cheap HDMI cable works just as good as any expensive one. You will only see a difference in cable quality if your wire needs to be more than 3meters.Last edited by Blzer; 05-28-2010, 03:34 AM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
