I don't think you can, I think you have to create a new account. I could be 100% wrong though.

If I recall correctly, I think that's right. When I got my PS3 back from my brother, I'm pretty sure I had to do that.

EDIT- I take it either this was ignored or nobody had the answer. Its easier at this point to just put it on my thumb drive and plug that into the PS3, just would have been nice to stream it to my PS3 and watch it that way, I can always burn it to the PS3 but that takes awhile where as it takes me 2-3 minutes to stick it on my thumb drive and be done with it.

I personally copy it over via network and then watch...I'm now using ethernet cable vs. wireless, so I'll see if I get that network error again (haven't streamed much lately)

SCE Announces Home Plans: Open Beta in Fall 2008
Delayed but with a promise of quality; Closed beta available again in Summer.

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announced today that it will expand the Closed Beta testing for PLAYSTATION Home in Summer 2008, inviting a further number of registrants from the PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) users. Following completion of the Expanded Closed Beta test, the PLAYSTATION Home Open Beta service will commence in Fall 2008.

"We understand that we are asking PS3 and prospective PS3 users to wait a bit longer, but we have come to the conclusion that we need more time to refine the service to ensure a more focused gaming entertainment experience than what it is today," said Kazuo Hirai, President and Group CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. "Our overarching objective is to provide users with new gaming experiences that are available only on PLAYSTATION Home. Spending more time on the development and on the Closed Beta testing reaffirms our commitment to bringing a quality service, maintaining the PlayStation tradition."

The PLAYSTATION Home Open Beta service that will become available in Fall 2008 will be built around providing new and fun community gaming experiences.

Details of the Closed Beta testing features, registration for the test and the opening of the service will be announced as they become available.

Wow, just wow. That is a major disappointment. I was hoping for a open beta in summer and a final version in fall.

I'm sure this will tick a lot of people off. They better go into OT mode and at least deliver in game XMB sometime this summer.

while Live is growing and is a major marketing point of the 360, Sony is wasting time fiddling with avatars and where to put carpets in a virtual apartment. Seriously, they could have focused on coming out with the setup to make the PSN more gamer friendly.

Where's the friend lobbies to have easier time jumping into games together, the better friend's list to know what people play, or XMB to send messages without having to quit games or wait for your friends to do the same? Oh, it's all tied into this bloated, often delayed waste of space and time. Sometimes simpler is much, much better.

To me, it further proves that Sony drags their feet on anything about the PS3 that isn't directly related to bluray. There's been at least 4 large firmware updates only for bluray since I've owned the ps3. Not much has been done on making it better for games though.

You're going to get in game XMB, but you won't be able to send invites in games. Watch

I believe this has been the plan all along. I wouldn't be shocked since it wasn't something planned.

No, I believe it's going to make you two "launch" the game together. Meaning if you want to play with someone one on one OUTSIDE OF A GAME'S SPECIFIC ONLINE STRUCTURE then you both meet up together via Home and launch the game at the same time.

Then I think you'll be able to play together as if he's player#2 sitting in the couch right next to you. You'll still have in game messaging; You can still meet up in game specific lobbies; You'll still be able to play against each other.

I could be wrong but I recall reading this somewhere.
