Not sure if you are asking me, but I did. It doesnt play Blu-ray Dvds or games. It does everything else. So I believe it is the Blu-ray drive

Funny. I had that problem when Vince posted it. I fixed it by just deleting the Game Data and then boot up NBA 2K again and install the patch. It should work.

EDIT: Actually when is it freezing? Mine kept freezing on the team logos and I would just hear the Jordan sequence, but not actually see it.

Yup, just do what mike and Vince said. Deleting the Game Data Utility will fix it.

Don't know what's up with 2k since this was the first time happening since I bought it when it came out.

Quick question I just bought a 37 inch 1080p Insignia TV. I am using HDMI cables and I hear sound when I'm in the PS3 home screen but as soon as I turn on a game or DVD there is no sound. I vaguely remember this happening when I set it up with HDMI cables on another TV but don't recall how to fix it. Any suggestions.

And yes I have went into audio settings and chose HDMI cable for audio input.

I had the same issue with my tv. When you choose HDMI, let the PS3 auto select the sound formats for you. My tv wasn't compatible with what I was choose and I got no sound.

Thanks man I tried that no go. So I read some where to do it manually and select all the sound options and when it says this may damage you speakers just say ok.

Then if it works go back and delete one by one until you figure out which one you need selected. It was a tedious process but it worked. Hope that made sense and thanks again for help.

                      Sony Introduces "PSN Pass" Program

Yesterday, German website Konsolentreff published early photos of the Resistance 3 PS3 bundle box showing a new logo that says "PSN Pass."

The message read: "Network features only available in countries that have PlayStation Store." However, no other details were provided.

SCEA responded to requests for comment this morning to clarify, saying this program requires customers to input a one-time use code to access a game's online capabilities, similar to EA's Online Pass introduced last year. '

"We are always evaluating new programs for our online offering, and starting with Resistance 3 this September, we will be instituting a network pass program for PS3 games with online capabilities," the spokesperson said. "This program will be game-specific. Games that are a part of this program will include a single-use registration code that grants the account holder redeeming the code full online access for that title.

"This is an important initiative as it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhancing premium online services across our first party game portfolio."

If you don't have a code to input, say if you purchase the game used, you'll have to buy one through the Store. It's unclear how much one of these PSN Pass codes will cost, however.

Sony said it will announce additional details at a later date.

                          Does this surprise anybody?

It's good business. I would guess every game will come with some sort of code like this in the not so distant future.

Just fired up my first game of NCAA 12 and about midway through the 3rd quarter my PS3 fan got insanely loud to the point it was drowning out the sound of the tv, so I quit the game and shut my PS3 off. I had only been playing about 30 minutes and this is the first time it's ever done this. It's a 40 GB fatty, how worried should I be?
