Anyway, since then it has tried to download some of those apps (Life, Vue, Amazon Video) and has tried to install them. Every time there is an error that occurs during the installation, and when I restart the PS3 it force-rebuilds the database.

I still have storage room on my HDD, so I don't know why the errors are happening. Does that mean I won't be able to install anything on my PS3 anymore?
Could be an issue with HDD even though you have room on it. Not sure how you'd even test that to see what potential issues there would be.

Is there a way (sorry, don't have the PS3 in front of me) to turn off the auto updates on the PS3? That could also give you a chance to further investigate the issue as you could try to manually install one app at a time and see what happens.

Yeah, I turned them off once I recognized it was having issues.

I'm definitely going to try to do that method, just didn't know what to download at the time haha. Plus, formatting took a couple of hours at a time (and messed up my folders to boot), so I'm going to have to make sure there is a time I can commit to not using it for such a test to occur.

      Thanks.
