Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I signed up for Netflix streaming today and this is badass. I can't believe all the TV shows and movies they offer on this thing. Considering I signed up since there are a few shows I want to get caught up on without having to buy the DVD's or BD's.Comment

What is the best way to get a game out of a YLOD PS3 without having to open up too much of the console?

My goodness, now I know what you guys were talking about regarding the "popping" noise from the slims. That is LOUD! It sounds like someone popping the case with a BB gun.Ryan Spencer

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
On a side note, I was reading an article this morning that Sony is going to drop the price on the current set of PS3's on the market because of the hacking issues. They plan to introduce a new 300gb system for $299, so the rumor is that the current inventory might be selling at $249.Comment

Sony reportedly making "hack proof" PS3. New SKU. 300gb.
The new model will be of the current slim body type, have a 300GB hard drive and an undisclosed anti-hacking system integrated into its hardware.
The system is projected to be priced at $300, yet there is no release date at this time due to Sony's ongoing court battle with hacker Geohot (George Hotz).

It's all specualtion right now but I don't know if I like seeing where this is headed for those of us that don't want/or can't upgrade to yet another new SKU.

So my question is where does that leave us slim adopters/users that don't hack? Will there now be two seperate PSN's? One for hack proof PS3's and one for hackers to run rampant?

Agreed. For those who aren't worried about installing CFW on their PS3, it doesn't matter which sku you own.Comment
