Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Otherwise you'll need a usb drive or external HDD and pull them off one by one and put on the new slim, one by one. Some saves are copy protected though and you won't be able to move them this way.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I just got the YLOD again.
Has anyone gotten their video game disc back after sending it in for repairs? Or more specifically, trading their fat PS3 for the slim, and getting their disc back?
My modern warfare 3 is stuck in there and I just want to know that I don't have to dish out another 60 bucks...Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
It seems many people on this forum don't know how to get their stuck disc out of their system after getting the YLOD problem so I thought I'd post how to get it out.*
It's quite simple really.
1. First shut down the system by flipping the power switch in the back off.
2. Hold down the eject disc button.
3. While still holding down the eject button, flip the power switch to turn back on your PS3.
4. When the green light comes on, wait a few seconds then tap the eject button a couple times. The fan will run on full power and the disc will eject.

I litterally cheered. Haha, couldn't go without that game at that time.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Fat 40 GB just YLOD. Frick!
Got the game out though (Uncharted 2).
Any truth to the hairdryer and fan trick?
I hope I can transfer all of my files (game saves, PSN ID and NCAA music) when I get a new one."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Quick question for anybody that could help me out with the answer. Do games freezing while playing end up hurting your system at all or possibly in the long run? I mean i have had 2 games freeze my system up in the last week and the system is only a month old at the most.
I only ask because my fat never had freezing issues until the very end of it's life right before the YLOD took it from me.PSN:LeftCoastGamer
