...what is the appeal of getting the 60gb or 80gb models over the smaller models?? Other than the obvious larger hard drive capacity and the ability to play PS2 games on them. Are there any other advantages to getting the 60 or 80???
I only have a few PS2 games, so I'm not to concerned about the BC issue. I'm mainly getting one for the Blu-ray player and MLB The Show 08. Maybe a few other PS exclusive games in the future. I'll keep my 360 for my main gaming system of course.
Also, how does Blu-ray movies playing on the PS3 compare in picture quality to other "non gaming" blu ray players???
For me I like the 60gb better just because I know my history of buying older games when they get dirt cheap. So with the 60gb I have no worries that anything will not play. Other than that ?????

If you have a PS2 that works well, save yourself $100, that's what I did this weekend. Now I have my PS2, 360, PS3 all hooked up by components, VGA, and HDMI respectively.
If you guys can settle with a 60 GB, consider yourself lucky.
We currently have an 80 GB since the first two 60 GB broke on us (first one, something popped in the PS3 while my brother was playing NCAA, the second one no disk would play despite having the "reading disc" indicator at the top right hand corner). We made the switch since we still have a PS2.
