Well yes ilm pissed, just got back from best buy with a new ps3, did not wanna buy a new in anyway what so ever. There was no way I could have been with out my ps3 even for a day, just the thought made my stomach curl. Yes I know it's just a gaming system, but it my stress getaway, having a big family and all, I know some of you know how I feel.

Anyway this sux, by ps3 was over two years old without any issues and out of warranty. I know I took it apart and I'm the only to blame. It's crazy because I have taken it apart in the past to clean, there was really noth wrong with my system except of stupid me saying I'm good at this, so why not clean the BR drive, I did everything correct. After checking it over more and doing many test. The blu-ray drive was no longer reading and the slot loading drive was DEAD as nails, nothing was saving it. Who knows maybe it was at deaths door and I'm being to hard on myself.

Anyway, I bought the uncharted bundle, I did not get best buy warrny because it's a rip off, they wanted $80, I be

MAN, I'm so borded right now, A. I;m still stick and can;t enjoy the nice wheatre. B. My 3 month old son is sick too... SO I'm stuk in the house and decided like a jackarse to take my PS3 about and clean the blu-ray and the system, now note there is nothing wrong with my PS3, just thought it need a good cleaning.


And for you kids at home, I'm a Tech for a living to this stuff comes to me like slicing bread.

I will be fine with the one year warrny with sony, also for you who don't know, when buying a special bundled system with bnestbuy, if someting goes wrong you must return the system with everthing it came with including all bundle games, if not they will not accept the system even with there warrnty, so they can stick there 80 warrnty

I onoy only two credit cards now, and my best buy card is one of them, and they were running no interest for 18 months and the 80gb did not apply.

Yeah I got a 320gb HDD.


oh, yeah, never got to finish uncharted and was going to buy it again anyway

just hooked it up, and I will say the system is much. much more quite then the 60gb model, holy crap I can hear a major difference. Also the machine is that much lighter, the only thing that sux is I lose all the sd card readers and memory stick duo readers, sux. I loved that about the 60gb model. Like I said as far as hearing the system running, it's like night and day, I do not hear the 160gb model running at all, I do like that it's lighter too.

I'm hoping after the updates runs my HDD will work.

DAMN, the knew system will not read my hdd, I even have the latest firmware on tje new system just like I had n the old one, I don't care about all the other stuff but my downloaded games, when I set up my account will it let me download my games again?


the cady and the way the HDD goes in is s different on the 160gb system.

I think you have to deactivate your old PS3 system? Does the old system turn on at all?

I was scared about opening it up, but since it's already broken I might as well try.
