It won't, they already said it's working no problem.

That's my #1 thing about the update. Can't wait to use the Netflix portion.

So many people would just pass out if that news was true. lol

I'm looking forward more to the HDD installation more so than the Netflix. From reading, the quality wasn't all that great. Hopefully as time goes on, they'll fix the streaming quality.

Same here. Went out and got an Elite with the big HDD just so I can install my games on it, lol. This will be, by far, the biggest improvement over the current dashboard.

I know the wife will kill me BUT, I want a bigger HDD and my daughter wants a 360 of her own. So I may get me a new elite and give daughter my system....
I'd love to get this done by 11/19. Quick question: Who has the best warranty deal?

            Best Buy no doubt.

$59.99 for two years. Go in, walk out with a new one.

Target/Walmart have to ship and CC is way overpriced.

TJ, how hard was it to transfer your stuff over via memory card? I'm thinking of just grabbing a 120 GB HD off of eBay for 100ish bucks and just doing what you did....

Did all your games take up a ton of space? I know mine shouldn't be horrible except for Oblivion, and I'll just have to grab a few of those saves. Just trying to get an idea if it'll all fit on one mem card or not.

I would get upset if the HDD feature went missing, it sounds like this will help solve a lot of the issues with the 360 kicking the bucket.

Did you use that thing (forgot the name) to transfer saves for NCAA rosters?

If you did, just put your saves on the memory card unit and if you run out of room, put those on your PC. Delete of the memory card and repeat till you're done.

This is how I did it for my old account when I got ROD.

Good call...I still have that and I can just do that. I have like 2 GB of Oblivion saves (I was dumb and just kept making new saves, and they take forever to delete, so I only need the couple latest ones for my 2 characters), but everything else I'd want to be safe. Then I'd just have to re-download all my DLC I suppose. Do you still get the "Download History" with your Live account on the new HD?

I'll probably just do this after my vacation next week, I'm gonna want to have my games installed so I don't get the loud noise of the DVD drive.

Yep, download history is saved to their server. Thing is, MS has removed some of the themes/gamer pics/arcade games, so if they have, than they got deleted from the history as well. So if you have any of that DLC, check to see MS still has them up for download. If not, copy it to the MU so you don't lose it if you still want it.

Gotcha...I don't think there's anything I really care about, but I'll keep an eye out when I do this. Since the 360's my primary system, and I've got a Best Buy warranty on my Arcade version (shoulda gone elite last year when I got it, but I didn't think they'd add a feature like this, doh), it makes sense to upgrade so I can have my sports games and my other games all saved so I don't need disc access.

yep that's the primary reason I even care about this update. The DVD drive not being used will make it quieter, and possibly helping it out in the RROD department.

It wasn't hard at all. I transfered any and everything that would fit onto the memory card. Everything else, I just re-downloaded with assistance from the DRM transfer utility on Xbox.com. Didn't take me long at all. For you, the biggie is Oblivion stuff. For me, it was Rock Band 2 downloads. I'd guess it probably took me about a half an hour to re-download all of that.
