Re: Xbox Experience coming 11/19 - requires 128mb of space
A few questions from work.
When you put in a game to burn to the HD..what was the settinng to check off so it always loads from the HD instead of the drive?
Does this new update make it so you never have to hear kids again on the mic and only your friends?Comment

as for your second question... if you're in a party with 8 people and u guys play 8 player multiplayer games, i'm ASSUMING the chat remains private... would suck if the chat went public until u left the gamehttp://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

If the game is on the HD, it will always go from HD by default, I believe.Rose City 'Til I Die

Cool..ok, I thought there was a setting you had to click to get the game top load, but that works.
I also thought that there was an option to only hear people on yuour friends list now when you played games. I could be off...the 8 party chat is awesome though.Comment

Re: Xbox Experience coming 11/19 - requires 128mb of space
Great news.
Remember that person I mentioned a few weeks ago that may or may not have installed the bootleg version of the NXE on a spare console he/she had lying around the house?
Well...that person has been wondering whether or not his/her console was going to get banned from Xbox Live when the new update officially launched.
I am happy to report that I've heard back from this person and they were able to install the new update to his/her spare console and connect to Xbox Live with zero problems.Comment

You may have to go into your monitor menu and move the screen around a little.Comment

Re: Xbox Experience coming 11/19 - requires 128mb of space
Hey guys,
On the Netflix thing...I signed up and all, no problem. Downloaded the application to my spare console...threw a few movies into my instant que, started watching them, everything was gravy.
Then I went back to my main console, downloaded the Netflix application, but everytime I try to sign into it, it signs me out of Xbox Live.
Is there some rule I'm missing that says Netflix may only be used by one console at a time? Naturally, I'm not planning on being signed in on both boxes and playing two movies at once, but I'd like to put the spare console out in the living room so we can watch the movies out there, but maintain the ability to watch stuff in my spare room where my main console is.
Is this not possible?
EDIT: Okay...so I recovered my gamertag on my main console and got Netflix up and working. If I can't do this two console thing with this, I'll just cancel before the free trial is over. It's of no use to me if I can't have it in both rooms.Last edited by TJdaSportsGuy; 11-19-2008, 01:23 PM.Comment

Re: Xbox Experience coming 11/19 - requires 128mb of space
So far it's "interesting". Just looks like they made things look fancy, which is nice and all - but generally useless. Still feels exactly like the old XBOX dashboard, you just get to things by pressing up and down instead of left and right, and it shows fancy pictures instead of just menus of text.
The only thing I can find that's useful about this so far is the netflix thing, which could have been added on the old dashboard too, so that's not really a dashboard thing.
My wife and I signed up for nexflix last month, so I'm going to figure out how to link the accounts.
Other than that, I guess I don't really see the new experience as anything special - they just made it look fancier, but it's still the exact same thing; and nothing they couldn't have added with the old dashboard.Comment

OK, well this is amazing... now I just hope my girlfriend gets me the 120GB HD for my birthday Nov. 30 like I asked... because 20GB is not cutting it... I can only fit two games on here dammit!
Haha.Comment

So, since I haven't been keeping up with this:
Can you upload as many games as you can fit onto the HD? And, once they are, that just means you don't have to put the disc in to play the game, you can just run it from the console, right?Comment

There are equally sized black bars on both the top and bottom. Have already tried to mess around in my monitors menu settings. Does yours fill the entire screen? Do you have a native 1680:1050?Comment
