M$ got 2 of those sales from me for 2 different systems, for the same reason they did from alot of people including you. It broke and they bought another one.

Even though I've had 5 die, I have never paid a dime for the 360 after I bought my first one. They have all been replaced by retailer warranty or through MS. Even when I got a ps3, I sold my 360 for it, then traded the ps3 to get one back.

Even if some measurable amount of people are buying a second console because one broke, again, the majority of a console's sales come after they drop to $200. That's why the 360's sales are going up, and will continue to be up.

I personally don't know anyone who had a 360 die and then go buy another one. Everyone uses the warranty.

You need to know more people, EG.

How about this: Do you know of anyone who has traded in their system for "fear of death?"

It's the same thing and keeps inflating those numbers.

But who cares, really? The systems get sold. MS nor Sony can stop the individuals who keep coming back for more.

And yes, I know I just re-upped XBL.

As someone who now plays games 2-3x a month, I'm shocked how much work people put into this console stuff

It's amazing- maybe I'm not a gamer anymore but I don't care about this stuff anymore.
