Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
Picked up my first trophy in like three weeks yesterday.
Anyone want to work on some LBP trophies one of these days? I still need Party Person and Top of the Class. Also, I still need to be hearted four more times as a player for the Celebrity trophy.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
you'll definitely get some with this game. 80% of the trophies in this game you get by just playing through normally. There's just a couple that you have to work for.
If you do not update to the 1.01 version of the game, you can get a couple easy trophies (silver ones too). There are two trophies that require you to die less than 100 times and finish the game in under 12 hours. It turns out that if you do the update it resets both of those counters. So if you update right before the final boss, you will get those trophies no matter how long you've played or how many times you died.

Seems a little cheesy to me, but at the same time, I got a few LBP trophies through cheesy methods.you'll definitely get some with this game. 80% of the trophies in this game you get by just playing through normally. There's just a couple that you have to work for.

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
yeah it is cheesy. I actually didn't find out about this method until after I beat the game a second time dieing less than 100 times and under 12 hours. All I would have had to do is reload the final save point of my first completed runthrough and beat the last boss again. LOL There's no way you are going to finish the game in under 12 hours on the first playthrough if you want to collect all the lightseeds (for a silver trophy) unless you do the update at the end.

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
Some were just pure luck!
I have the No-hitter trophy! But it wasn't me. In my RTTS in AAA Jason Jennings threw a no-no and I caught the final out in RF! Bang trophy showed up!
I have the 100 losses trophy again bang it just showed up during season 2 of my RTTS.
Got the 3 SB's in one game....victimized a very slow RH pitcher delivery to home in AAA.
I've hit a Grandslam walkoff in RTTS so bang two trophies there! I just started a pitching RTTS so I'm hoping to grab those as well.
My best trophy so far of my doing is the 20 game Hit streak trophy...I was on fire in AAA and had a 27 game hit streak.....it sucked when it ended as I hit the ball very hard in 4 AB's that day and got plunked once.
I got called up to RTTS in season 3 after a hot spring and hit a HR in my 1st MLB AB off Felix Hernandez. I'm a Texas Ranger after getting dealt in my AA season from the Cards to the Rangers for Marlon Anderson I think. I've stopped playing the RTTS as I hope a new patch seeon well eliminate any chance of a dead career.
I did start up a new pitching RTTS though. Dam fun and I got lit up like crazy during Spring Training. ERA was like 6.50 I think I went 18 innings gave up 24 hits managed 18 K's though.
AA just started and with the classic pitching guide I'm pitching a bit better.
RTTS is definately crack!Former Bison, Argonaut, TSN and Sportsnet employee.

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
Well, I got the game yesterday and decided to hold off on the patch and see how things went. I figured that if I did well enough to earn it through my own means then great, but if not I can patch later.yeah it is cheesy. I'm glad I waited. I'm enjoying the game for the most part, but the controls take some getting used to and I found myself dying a lot of stupid deaths. I am also over two hours in already and have only healed 3 lands.
But you are right that the trophies pop up like crazy. I'm already like 14% done, though I think my PSN account shows 12% due to the epilogue trophies. The game is definitely no Uncharted when it comes to this genre, but it's fun nonetheless and a good purchase for the $25 I spent.
I've also got Quantum of Solace coming one of these days, and Rock Band 2 (though I don't see RB2 being a huge trophy game). And I've actually decided that I'm going to try to take aim at the LittleBigPlanet Platinum trophy. It'll definitely be a step up from Burnout, but I think it is attainable.
So look out at the top! LOL, that'll never happen but I may move up a few spots in the coming weeks.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
yeah the game is pretty tough for the first few hours because the controls are so funky. But once you get a handle on them, it's pretty easy. I beat the game the second time in like 7 hours or so and hardly died because I knew what the Prince could do and since I didn't have to collect as many light seeds. Really there is only 1 trophy that is hard (if you use the update glitch to reset your counters) and that is the Combo Master one where you have to perform all the combos. It's totally not worth it either since it is just a bronze! I created a new save just for that trophy because you can do it real early in the game against a soldier that respawns after you beat him if you teleport off. I just kept fighting him over and over for about an hour until I got every combo.Well, I got the game yesterday and decided to hold off on the patch and see how things went. Re: The Official OS PS3 Trophy Collectors Thread
You and me both man, I got Burnout, COD, LOW, GTA and Buzz but all I play is The Show which basically has **** for trophies unless you play RTTS and I dont touch that so Im never getting any trophies. I know there is a walk off trophy that I have somehow still not gotten though Ive played 37 games but other then that Im not sure what else there really is to get outside of RTTS.Comment
