Infamous is a pretty fun platinum. I wasn't really even trying to get the plat for that game, it was just so fun I wanted to beat it twice and complete everything anyway. Darksiders was fun too, not too bad to plat other than the flying bird mini game, that was tough.

I have been slacking a bit on Platinums of late. I just haven't had the motivation to get any up until I played Ratchet which I only need to finish on Hard. I was burned out on that game, so taking a break. Hopefully I can add a few more plats during this summer, I have fallen behind in that area.

I found Darksiders a bit on the difficult side, but will give it a rental through gamefly to finish it up. I also want to Plat Star Wars Force Unleashed, but will have to use your work around to get that. It was a difficult game to begin with.

Sports games are funny with plats, MLB has some of the most difficult trophies to get for a plat. On the other hand Madden was a piece of cake to Plat.

Don't play any NBA games, but the NHL series was similar to the show and was impossible to plat. It's a real crapshoot.

Back in the day (2006), achievements for sports games were insanely easy to get. All of the 2k6 games had just 5 achievements, all of which were easily accessible. For example, MLB 2k6 had: Rob a home run, hit 3 HR with one player in one game, steal 5 bases in one game, K 15 batters w/ one pitcher, and score 20 runs in one game. All of these were easy because the game was arcade-like with the number of HRs you can hit, and batting AI was zombie-like on default Pro difficulty.

Madden 06 had the hardest trophies ever, including "score a touchdown" and "get a first down"... Puhhleease.

It's too bad that the PS trophies were on the scene after developers decided to toughen 'em up.

My main gripe with sports games like the show and NHL 10 is the trophies that require you to win leagues or franchises online. I mean really? I understand how they can be trophies, but do they really have to make them necessary for a plat. I mean have the ability to play online, but I never really do so any sports games related to winning a league is pointless for me. What about all the people who don't even connect online while playing games?

It would be nice if online trophies were considered toward getting 100%, but not necessary for getting a plat. Kinda like how DLC trophies count toward your percent, but not towards gaining a plat.

Agreed. And — devil's advocate — on the flip side there are games like Modern Warfare 2 where the majority of play time for most people (even if you've played through the campaign twice, like I have) gets spent online with no trophies to show for it. I'd almost like to see 2 half-plats ... or something like that, one for online, one for offline. That'd require more than a few tweaks to the trophy system to balance it all out point-wise, so it'll probably never happen, but still — it'd be an interesting concept.

If a game has an online trophy, or trophies, they should be easily attainable.

I shouldn't have to play x hours online to get that one trophy that requires you to reach top rank, or win x amount of matches in a row.

Trophies like, play all game modes, or win a match in each game mode, or get a headshot, are all fine with me. Simply because you don't have to spend laborious hours playing online. I like my laborious hours to be offline.

Uncharted 2 did the online trophies the best way IMO. When the game was first released, they only had 2 simple online trophies. Then once they released DLC, they added online trophies. Since these trophies were not part of the original game, they are not needed for the plat.

I've been diggin the online trophies for call of juarez. They did it pretty well too. The one that's gonna take some time is the 1,000,000 dollars earned trophy but I'm almost half way to that and have put in about 10 hours online. I unlocked all the others already.

I think the hardest trophy for this game (fittingly) is completing the game on the hardest mode. I did it on hard (twss) my first time through though (and got three trophies for that) so at least I'm familiar with how it's going to play out.

Anyone playing TW 11 for this year? Considering going for plat for this one... Actually seems easier than last years game, with online trophies that ask you to participate in different game modes, rather than having to win anything. *shakes fist at Fight Night's champ trophies*

Don't get me started on those. Really? I mean, really? Whose bright idea was that?

I'm also pissed at 2K for refusing to fixed the glitched trophy on NBA 2K. I'm like 5-6 trophies away from the plat on that game but there is one trophy that is actually impossible to get due to a bug. They didn't patch it and won't even just delete that trophy outright so people can acutally get the plat. Grrrr.

The Fight Night trophies are some of the worst known in trophies/achievements history. It was a good idea in concept, but I was reading on PS3trophies last year that the belt holders were actually using title shots as a way of making money for those that wanted to fight for the title.

Im 99% sure Im getting this sometime this coming weekend so we should hook up online and play some golf. I too was looking at the trophies for this game and it seems much easier this year compared to last so I might be able to actually get a platinum in a sports game for once.

I'm about half way to the Read Dead Redemption plat.

As in any game like this, 100% in the game is gonna be a tough trophy.

I've been working on the NCAA Football 10 Platinum and about 5-6 trophies away. It has been one of the tougher sports games plats to attain due to the having to use Player Lock and the Season Showdown trophies.

Just found out I missed a trophy in Red Dead redemption that will cause me to have to replay about the first half of the game.
