I dont know man, I dont think they've talked to enough people. Niche market or not, you cant just charge premium money off the bat for something people arent even sure is going to work

Service works well. Just don't expect HD graphics with the console counterparts. For the most part it’s pretty much as good as most PC based games. I have played it using 6/12/18mb connections through ATT Uverse fiber internet.

The only thing I didn’t like was the graphics weren’t as crisp, vibrant and contrast settings left a lot to be desired. Games load very quickly and I even went out an purchased the PC version of the some of the games I liked them that much.

I played most games using the 360 wired usb controller and made most of the games easier to play. Problem was settings weren’t saved so each time I went into a new game or back into Onlive I had to set the button configurations back up. Not sure if this will change with profile and full version games.

Oh i forgot to add I only beta'ed the PC version not the small box hooked up to TV.

Like Netflix where you can stream movies online. But seeing as you would need to pay for a game rental and a monthly fee seems ridiculous. I haven’t logged on in a while but the beta had games where you play them up to 30 minutes at a time or a certain number of levels and not all features were available for testing. The service had about 8 games but I only played 5 of them. My daughter liked Burnout Paradise and another 2D side view fantasy game. It works and there was no lag regardless of what time of day I logged in. Its just if you like the current HD from 360 or PS3 it will be lacking. Sound was awesome but I also have a nice gaming PC.

Yep they might have just killed any chance they had with that service fee. I dont understand what they're thinking about. Noone is going to buy a game they cant access because of some entry fee. That's just asisnine to ask of someone

This will be a bust for a couple of reasons......

1. The USA broadband isn't on the level it needs to be for this service to run smoothly. A good number of the USA don't even have DSL in their area let alone fiber optic lines.

2. The economy is still bad and most people simply can't justify that price per a month, when they can just use gamefly or download FREE demos on the 360 or PS3.

3. Still have a lot of people in the USA with NO PC in their home at all either, especially in the town I live in.

Its a pretty good idea if there was actually a PC game that I want to play(but I cannot due to my computer specs), Unfortunatly there is not. Perhaps I will check it out when Civilization 5 comes out.

It sounds like one big headache to be honest. I've always been big on having physical media as far as games are concerned. If I spend $60, I want something to show for it, not access to a stream.

If they havent changed their business plan as far as pricing is concerned people wont bite.

No way im going to pay 15 bucks a month for an online service

Then pay money to buy a game

Then I cannot play that game unless I first pay the 15 bucks a month service fee.

Im not exactly sure how this benefits customers one bit, and no since they havent advertised well, you wont hear about it from other people

Plus I don't understand how you can trust their service. Any server issues and your game becomes a frustration. Same can be said on the user's end.

Online is nice I suppose but pure stream. Don't think so.
