I disagree. We you can throw paint if you want to, but I think that Lionhead Studios showed us that all the combined features has the potential create new ways to play games and new genres of games. Nintendo and Sony's remote style controllers cannot do that.

Re: Sony E3 Discussion
I don't think Sony's conference was that bad in terms of what was shown. I didn't actually watch it so I don't know how the presentation actually turned out. I think those of you disappointed either expected too much or just want to be let down.
I will say it continued the trend of sequels being the name of the game, making everything revealed just underwhelming. And everything Sony showed seems to be a long way off which also tempers any excitement I could be feeling right now. I am disappointed that Twisted Metal continues to get left behind and I didn't see anything about FF VS XIII which I'm curious about.
In the end, this E3 is a lot like the last few. Sure its bigger but there's no real excitement, just manufactured excitement. No big surprises, nothing really innovative, just more of the same.Comment

Re: Sony E3 Discussion
You can blame the internet for lack of surprises but this E3 is nowhere near as bad as last year's. I'm not sure what people want out of it anyway.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Sony E3 Discussion
Oh and the motion controller is horrible, the demo he showed was exactly the same as what he showed for the eyetoy, right down to the "you can cast a fire spell" thing.
This is the exact same thing pretty much:

Re: Sony E3 Discussion
I don't care for the radio station, facebook, twitter on the 360............but, they also had some very nice games on the way. Alan Wake alone is a holy crap that has me ultra excited. I am very happy that I did get another 360 not long ago.Not to be an arse, but Natal, whatever, motion control stuff is meaningless, who cares, buy a Wii. Radio station, I mean I'm not going to turn a 360 for a radio station. The netflix thing is cool, but MS needs to keep there PC stuff away from there gaming stuff. Facebook/Twitter all PC based apps, I mean why not just get a high end Gaming PC for that matter.Comment

Re: Sony E3 Discussion
I don't follow videogame rumors online so nothing announced I knew was coming (save for the PSP GO), but it didn't make it more surprising. I would like companies to show off new properties but most seem focused on sequels.Comment

Re: Sony E3 Discussion
Doesnt appeal to you but millions of users use both every day like its crack.....
You can say "well thats what I have a PC/Mac for" which is lame because why do anyone play games on their PC? Why do people use a 360/PS3 to watch movies? Why people use their iPhone/iTouch for the internet....OPTIONS
Agreed. The MS conference really got me excited. I don't care for the Twitter stuff, but there do seem to be a lot of Twits out there so it's a plus for them.
Last.fm integration and the upgrade to Netflix is huge for me. I have a FB account, and even though I don't really use it for much, I like to know I have the option there. MS had an awesome showing.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Sony E3 Discussion
At this point in the generation, it's really about which console can start getting more casual and cost conscious gamers. You do that by having an assorted game library and a low price. These features may seem minor to you, but they likely don't cost a lot to license and they add value to a console that costs as little as $199 initially. Not to be an arse, but Natal, whatever, motion control stuff is meaningless, who cares, buy a Wii. It's been shown that consoles get a giant chunk of their sales after they get to $200 and below, for obvious reasons. This was true with the ps2, which sold around 75% of their consoles at $200 or less. So it's no surprise that MS is pulling out content for a wider audience, but also delivering the games the core gamers want.Comment

I understand where your coming form, since you brought price again. You also need to see what you wrote. If MS keeps having E3's where they show netflix, twitter and facebook being apart of there innovative future. Along with talking about major online upcoming games or content, well that will then include the buyer to then have to buy, or let me say NEED to buy a HDD and a wireless adapter and a subscription to xbox live, then bringing the purchase above price above the $400 mark. So even though the xbox can be had for $199, if the casual gamer thinks there getting all what they saw at E3 yesterday in a $199 package they will be they had themselves. So us gamers that are really in to gaming know the $199 360 isn't tye complete package. At this point in the generation, it's really about which console can start getting more casual and cost conscious gamers. Also according to IGN, Sony still has some type of announcement tomorrow. Who know what it is.

FF, I understand what you are saying, and I agree to an extent. I have no desire you make 'tweets' on my xbox. But besides the motion camera and the additions to Xbox Live that some see as gimmicky, if you look at just the games, I think that Xbox should more games, more exclusives, and better games than Sony or NintendoComment
