True, however, you could do the same with the Wii. The Wii costs $250, while wii play is $50 to get a 2nd remote, and wii fit is $90. That's a $400 bundle right there. Buying things like this is something that many consumers are more open to when the initial cost of the console is lower.

The PS3 is the better overall value when you sit down and look at tech specs and features, but people who would gasp at the $400 tag on the ps3 are eagerly spending that on their wii's. The whole point of the arcade model is to get past the price as a barrier to entry.

I for one was very upset at sony's conference. Nintendo came in last because they brought nothing new. Nintendo 80% of them was talking about what we already knew. Sony's was just plain awful. Sure it had some nice games but most nice games announced were coming out in 2010....The megaton announcment was pathetic.....Especially after I saw NATAL....Now I am not so much a motion fan but Natal looks like it could be amazing and doesn't require anything but the human body...You can still swing swords or kick balls whatever you would do with Sony's motion plus. I was thinking about buying a Ps3 but now I have no need to... Netflix upgrade plus sky on 360....It's pretty good...

You are welcome to that opinion, but I don't see anything more than a combo of Seaman with the PSEye stuff Sony has shown before. Besides, we all know that this thing will be as supported as all these other peripherals that people have to buy (not at all, and that includes PSEye, Sony's motion controller, etc).

Ultimately you said it didn't make you want the system, I said you could say the same about the MS, which you can (I did).

The eyetoy didn't do anything like what Natal does. They were able to use natal to control an existing game, when did the eyetoy do that?

What I'm saying is that Natal can do things that Sony's motion controller cannot, and is a far more impressive piece of hardware.

But, obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the reason that Sony's conference didn't impress me and Microsofts did was the games that they had to show, not who has a better motion controller. For me, the fact that Microsoft introduced what I believe to be a far superior motion controller is a bonus that I can look foward to in the future.

it could still do that if they want it to, that's just getting the software to do it. Sony had the eyetoy since the ps2, but they didn't do much with it other than some suck games because they viewed it as a niche product then. Now the technology they sloppily showed could end up being more of a true Wii killer this generation. It'll provide the ps3 graphics to go along with true 1:1 response to your movements, as well as a wand controller to hold for added input.

As amazing as the natal stuff was, it was presented in a much more grand scope. They'll get it running on the 360 in a year, but you have to wonder how much of that Milo type of stuff actually gets realized this generation. It could take years to turn that tech demo concept into a full retail game, and by then you're talking about the next wave of consoles.

People, its a camera the PSeye has a mic and infared sensors and 99% of the stuff you saw in NATAL is software driven. This is nothing new under son and can be done with the PSeye. Sony has demoed this stuff before. I posted the videos yesterday and they date as far back as 2006 if I recall. I will repost them and also you will see the Dr. Marks stuff from years gone by and the first prototype of the wand from 2007.

From what I hear, expect one around August or September. That way, they can mega systems for the Christmas season.

Probably not, but maybe some signs of it. MS has talked some stuff and never delivered or lagged in delivery. Netflix has taken a while for party viewing and remember Peter Jackson coming on stage as being behind merging movies with games?

I think it's over for the PS3. Time and again, you will see talk about the next game that's going to put the system in stride, a system seller, but something that MS has proven with the 360 is it now goes beyond the games. The only thing Sony seems to be able to tout is the BluRay player, but consumers just don't see BluRay as an immediate essential.

In looking at this Fall's lineup, what does the PS3 have that's going to put PS3s in homes? It just lacks that vibe that Xbox Live has, with all of its heavy features and peripherals. I just don't see the PS3 gaining any ground outside of a few great looking exclusives.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Yeah that is quite sick. Think of the possibilities with that thing!! I wonder if we could eventually be put into the videogame and actually play in sports games to our movement. That would be cool.
