the reason behind me saying the DC, is because the DC brought back sports gaming to another level at the time, with Titles like NFL2k/NBA2k/NHL2k.

NFL2k and most definitely NBA2k made some of my freind miss a lot of there college classes, due to them being at my crib playing for hours on end. Those were the days.

This is my main reason for enjoying the Dreamcast so much, there sports titles where all great the 2K series was at an all-time high for me then, heck I really liked Virtua Tennis and I am no means a Tennis fan, and Sonic Adventure was great. My favorite Console was the Dreamcast although the ps3 is greatly starting to slide to the top spot, but the best console to me was PS2 the library of games was just amazing. PS3 will probably exceed to the top spot in those categories soon but as it plays out right now Dreamcast got 1 on my list for favorite console

Id go with the PS3 since you can do more than just play games on it.

My favorite console is the 360, because of the games. The PS3 is second, because of the Blu-Ray. Both systems have some killer exclusives. My least favorite system, even though it was my first is the Sega Genesis. That system didn't have squat for games compared to the SNES, which is what I bought to replace the Genesis. From this point though, no system older than the 360 or PS3 will ever be #1 in my books. I can't downgrade once I upgrade.

Mine was my Genesis. I don't think I've ever owned so many games for a single console. What's funny is I just bought Joel, my son, the Sonic Mega Collection for the 360. And he loves Sonic! Mario is cool, but couldn't hold Sonic's jock!

I don't know how to choose. I've owned so many consoles and I've had so much fun with them all, lol...

I can be nostalgic all I want and say what was great for its time, but in the end the PS3 does everything I want it to and then some. Such a great system.

Come on now! Mario was slo-mo. Sonic is fast! Actually, I burned up Mario, too. We have a few Mario-based games on the Wii, and Super Mario Galaxy is the bomb! I just loved Sonic because he had 'tude!

Mine is Sega Genesis although I never had a problem with my NES I've had nothing but bad luck with them now.

The Genesis was when I started to buy my own games. Every week or two I would head to blockbuster and purchase one of the previously rented games looking for bargains or my favorite rentals to become available.

The NES my mom bought and I was too young to work myself so i only got a game when I traded with friends.

Playing my old systems is purely for nostalgia and to teach my daughter about gaming and seeing where it all started.

I have an Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, 3DO, PS1, PS2, PS3, and 360.

Sonic was great for the times, and I still like it now. Sad thing is, who knows what the franchise could have been now Sega if was worth a damn anymore. They are a shell of their former glory, and even then they were managed poorly.

However, Mario has been great across so many Nintendo platforms and genres, and has the wider audience and impact on the industry. Mario 3 and Super Mario World are still some of my all time favorite games.

I'm still a nostalgic gamer at heart, but I can't ignore the amazing things that video games can do these days. PS3 by far, if only for what the Show has done for baseball video games.
