Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
Yep. Renamed to Kinect. I predict epic fail for this hardware. If the rumored prices are true it's 150 just for the hardware and the prices go up to 400 depending on what software you get bundled with it. I can't totally go on rumors, but knowing MS this sounds about right. So they're going to expect somebody to pay for this when people can get a full Wii Console with a packed in game(that is very, very popular), for only 50 dollars more? And all they are offering out of the gate are games that Wii has pretty much done already? And they expect it to sell simply because you don't have to hold a remote? I don't even need to mention the fact that a cold buy of this will also require a purchase of a 360 console. What do you think parents are going to get their kids this Xmas? A 200 dollar Wii (assuming everyone in the world doesn't have one already), or a 300 dollar console with a 150 add on. Wow. This could be the next Sega CD or Virtual Boy. Again, it will be interesting to get a confirmation from MS on the price, but either way I can't see them pricing it to move without taking massive losses on this thing.
As for Sony and their motion controlled thing? We'll wait for the details but I'm not expecting much from it either.Last edited by budsticky; 06-15-2010, 12:16 AM.Comment

Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
Man I cannot WAIT till Friday... last day of high school and the new Xbox release.... *salivates* That is I can get the new Xbox if I sell my current one, this leads me to my question. Would this bundle of my Xbox stuff be good to sell for roughly $225?
1 Xbox Pro Console
1 20GB HDD
1 Wireless Controller
1 Xbox Wired Headset
1 Wireless N Adapter
Or should I charge a bit more? This money would go with my $200 graduation money that I have left over.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Shadow, from what I've read/watched, the HDD is NOT replaceable at the moment, unless Microsoft decides to come out with one of it's own.Comment

Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
MS likes to protect their HDD sales, and limits the size allowed in the firmware anyways. I assume they'd continue to do the same, so even if you do modify the HDD yourself, you can't go higher than what they currently sell.Comment
