Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
I want to get one but I'm moving and I enjoy my Elit3 so far. I'm seriously wondering how I can pull this off and get the bills paid for the next few months. I wish I had a friend who wanted this system bad enough to buy it off of me for dirt cheap. I think I might even scoop up that Natal for the dance game for my wife. We have the Wii and can't seem to get on it for real. Doing that will be just as much fun as Beatles Rockband. I can definitely see many people jumping on this sucker just like they did the Wii only that most of my friends know that the updated graphics are on this thing and they don't need to buy extra controllers or boards.
I hope there is a company that plans on investing in releasing some type of in depth fighting game that will teach the consumer. I wish I knew some because I'd definitely invest everything I had on getting something solid like that. Can only hope. Any YES for the optical output. That's a solid there also. I know I'll have to research for options in getting the sound straight to the speakers. Hopefully there are easy to use upgraded headsets that incorporate everything seamlessly and without as much cords as I have already.
Edit: Welcome back home WTF!!Comment

Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
Pretty disappointing showing for MS I have to say.
This is the company who pretty much called the Wii a kids machine early on, yet they show stuff like virtual cats, trailers for comedic looking arms and legs flailing sports games and dancing games.
From what I can assume, the whole 'Milo' Natal thing simply was a lie and that type of interaction is simply not possible. Kinectimals is the most Milo type game we'll ever see and as cute as it is, it has basic interactions that even the PS2 Eye Toy could do.
And the other games like Table Tennis and Star Wars looked like no fun at all without something physical to hold.
The best part for me was the XBL Arcade clips.Comment

It appears you can order the new console by 10:30 this morning and get it by tomorrow Wednesday (with next day shipping) at the Microsoft store.

Something that gaming incorporates is competition. I can see very easily how something like Kinect and sports-like gaming can be successful.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

No, you aren't correct. If you don't have a new 360 the Kinect will have to plug into the wall along with being connected to the 360.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
Now, I'm sure MS has tested this and things will work out, but given the 360's history, I'm a bit skeptical that the 360 will go on without a hitch...powering another device.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm not sold on the way the new 360 looks. It looks... clunky, in a way. Sure, I'll probably get one for the large amount of storage and the ease in getting Kinect set up, but it's not the sexiest thing I've ever seen, nor is it better than the original 360.Rose City 'Til I Die

Yeah, a disappointing show overall for MS, especially if you have no interest for motion stuff. They didn't show anything new at all besides natal stuff really, ESPN integration has hilarious small print, and the slim is just a smaller xbox without the price drop excitement of the ps3 slim debut.
While I want a slim 360, I just recently did the manual license transfer like a month ago. I'll be pissed off if I get a slim and can't do a transfer for a whole year.Comment

Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference
Well,
I didn't like the way Microsoft's conference was put together.. There was alot of deadtime so to speak.. But with that said I for one am thrilled at this new 360 coming out.. This is what I have been waiting for as the Ps3 is fine and I will keep it for Bluray but that's it... I decided this weeks ago but was waiting on E3 to see if a slim 360 is coming out.. If not I would've gotten the Elite.. Espn to me is a GREAT FEATURE TO HAVE.. I personally love the look of the new 360 and will go great next to the Ps3 and my Yas71 yammy soundbar and my piano black tv/entertainment center!! Kudos microsoft.... I for one will be glad to pay for the live service so i can start gaming online... I wasn't feeling the Ps3 as far as that's concernedComment
