Come on, you must have known I didn't mean it in the way the gaming is a need for some people. I was saying you don't need a wireless adapter to play XBL if you have a router and an ethernet cable. I was also saying you don't need the wi-fi to play Xbox Live because you already have an adapter or you use an ethernet cable.

Re: New Xbox 360
Yeah it seems like it. And I've got to say the Slim would be an upgrade from the Arcade or Pro just because of the hard drive space. But I still don't see much of a difference between the New Xbox and the Elite. Both have more space than anyone knows what to do with, and if you already have a network adapter, why is built in wi-fi necessary?Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Thanks for the help. The info and the video basically told me there isn't much difference between the Elite and the Slim. Sure the slim has 250 GB of space, but the Elite has 120 GB, and that is way too much for me to use anyway.
The noise isn't a factor at all using the Elite because you can simply download all of your games to the hard drive. This means the disc doesn't have to spin within the console, which translates into less work for the Xbox. So I can be playing for hours and my Xbox won't be hot at all, because it's basically like being at the dashboard for the Xbox.
I have no use for the wi-fi either. I already use an ethernet cable to connect to my home's router.
For someone who does not have a wireless adapter, I could see purchasing the Slim. But if you don't already have an adapter, you either don't need one, or you don't have an Xbox 360.
Otherwise if you have an Xbox arcade or pro and are thinking of upgrading, I would definitely reccomend just buying the Elite. Basically the same thing, except the Slim has built in wi-fi, which you wouldn't need anyway. And the Elite is $50 cheaper.
If anything thing is legit, and the cooling system is better on the new slim. That can go a long way with the old 360 3 red lights problems.Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
I know this might sound vain, but I bought this because of the cool design and that is was black and slim. Plus the fan is whisper quiet. The 250 is cool too, but for me it was the design.Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Hey I don't have any problem with being vain. And it's definitely nice not having to hear the blaring noise regular Xbox's make. That's why I like the Elite, because I download all of my games to my hard drive, so the Xbox doesn't make noise because the disc doesn't spin. And I'm sure it's the same on the new one.Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Yeah it uses less power, way better ventaliation with that huge arse vent on the top and sides of it. So for me it was a no brainer, considering I had the 60gb pro. Kind of funny I was 3 days away from buying the elite when E3 happened and they said the new 360 comes out this week.
I was like this WEEK ? My wife say yeah thats what the man said, this week. So she was like hell might as well buy the latest version of it.Comment
