THERE ISN'T A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO CONSOLES GRAPHICALLY.

Don't believe the hype. It's not like it was when looking at an Xbox game and a PS2 game. Or like looking a PS3/360 game and a Wii game.

I swear 99% of the people who whine about how different the PS3 and 360 is graphically don't even see the crap they talking about with their own eyes. Instead they just be going off what other people that is popular say they see.

I gurantee you, tell your average person to walk up to a screen and point out a jaggy or AA issue and they will be pointing at the wrong spot.

I have both consoles and really don't notice much of a difference at all in terms of graphics.

I would go with the PS3 since you can use that as a Blu-Ray Player and like someone else mentioned, file sharing is very easy on the PS3. I picked up NCAA 11 this year on the PS3 so I could get all the custom Stadium Sounds for FSU. It took 2 min. to transfer the files from my PC to my Flash Drive to the PS3.

NBA 2k11 has 3D and Move on PS3

All the other sport games plus free online gaming

For sports game other than the show it will be best to get them on xbox because games like NBA 2k, Madden, etc, etc are made on the 360 then ported to PS3.

Ok, let me contribute to the thread with new personal insight:

I. When at home, I've been playing PS3 on my 32" samsung (i think the model is the 650) touch of color hdtv.

II. When at gamestop, I've been playing 360 on the 22" (?) hdtvs they have in their stores.

III. Madden, 2k, etc. always look better to me in the stores, so without thinking too deeply I've always felt like those games looked better on xbox than on ps3.

So last night it dawned on me that maybe those same games would look better on my ps3 if I was playing on a screen comparable in size to the ones I saw in gamestop.

So I hooked up my ps3 to my samsung t190 monitor and WOW! The games (ncaa, madden) looked sooo much better on the smaller screen I could hardly believe it. They looked like...dare I say...the way they looked when playing on the 360.

The biggest sports game offender for me in "graphics disparity" was the NBA 2k series. So I quickly popped in 2k10 and WOW! Once again, game looked great on the smaller tv. Looked just like the 360 version I've played at gamestop.

This little test saved me the $ I would have spent on a new 360 and the warranty. Wow. Next I'm going to try Tiger Woods 11 and see how much better that looks.

You know, I've played with my Samsung tv settings in the past, set it to "game mode", etc. etc. And I always thought the games looked good (mainly the exclusives, which look great on 32"), but they look incredible on the 19" screen.

So I would say, before making a decsion, think about what size screen u have. Because if your screen is less than 32", I can confidently recommend the ps3 will look great. But I wouldn't want to go smaller than 19". I think maybe 22" to 26" might be the best for gaming. WOW!

Yep, what DickDalewood said. Adam Thompson actually said it on a thread inthe NCAA forum to put that myth to rest. At least he did for EA Sports games.

Is that really the case in the US?

Here in Sweden the diffrence is like 299 for the PS3 slim and 199 for the 360 slim. (Not actual price but the relative price diffrence.)

When it is the same hard drive size, yes they are the price. Nobody, well I should say most people in the US aren't going to buy the $200 360 slim because it is only 4GB hard drive.

You can't even install a game on 4GB hard drive system, which defeats the purpose of having a hard drive in the 1st place.

I mean really why get a $200 system with a 4gb HDD, when you can get a 250gb HDD system for $300 ?
