I still don't understand why this is always the argument...

Yes, you'll work up a sweat playing EA Active, or Wii Fit, but dude, if you are getting sweaty playing a FPS on the Wii, you need to seriously look into working out more.

I'll say it again, where I find all this motion stuff to be attractive is in the FPS and TPS arenas. If you guys ever get a chance to play Metroid Prime on the Wii, using the "Advanced" controller setup, you will see just how great and precise Move type controls can be in a shooter.

And yes, I'm easily able to lounge back in my couch while I play.

Wait....MAG is going to have Move support?

Interesting. I'm guessing that'll come in this massive patch they're planning.

I wasn't planning on getting it, but when I went to trade in some games the other day and saw that Deadspace 2 will be Move compatible, I was sold. I'll be picking mine up this week.

hopefully they make a bundle without the Sports Champions game and replace it with the navigation controller.

Pretty sure only the upscaled Wii game that's packed in with the PS3 version is using the Move and not the actual game itself.

                    Re: Playstation Move

Just picked up a Move Sports Champions bundle yesterday, and although I'm more anticipated for what will be (as opposed to what is), I'm loving it so far. Much more responsive and intricate than Wii IMHO. I can't stop playing Sports Champions Table Tennis, it's amazing fun and it gave me a workout. Probably the closest thing to the actual sport that I've played.

Also tried the TW11 demo and I'm not as blown away as I was by Wii's Tiger 10 with WM+ for whatever reason...it may just be due to Tiger being a very early Move title, but I found the experience a bit dull. We'll see what happens with TW12 and the other titles on the market (John Daly's for example).

At this point, I just hope this money won't go to waste. There's so much potential in Move that I honestly hope developers will expand the possibilities of motion gaming in "hardcore" titles. For instance, I can't until Heavy Rain's Move control patch later this week...it may just feel like playing an entirely new game. As I see it, Move's future seems bright...that is, if developers are willing to make solid strides.

...and am I the only one here that wants to see what Sony tries for MLB 11: The Show Move-wise? It'd be interesting to try motion-controlled batting, for instance...

Meh I will hold off and wait to see how many games that actually use it 1st. I have been burnt too many times in the past by buying add on devices just to see it fizzle out 6 months later because never caught on.....for instance..........

                      1. Sega 32x add on
                      2. Sega CD
                      3. PS2 HDD
                      4. 360 HD DVD drive
                      5. PS2 web cam
                      6. 360 web cam

I may be interested in batting, but to be honest if you can't feel the weight of the object like a bat, the simulation just isn't the same. Plus, I would like to be credited for having a good baseball swing as opposed to someone like my roommate (maybe there will be different difficulties or something for this), and I can also put my switch-hitting skills to the test as well.

But pitching and everything that simulates throwing would be a disaster. Your motion would either be limited and bitch-like, or you will throw your arm out or lose the controller. So I really do wonder how they're going to incorporate it into the whole game.

It may be served best in Home Run Derby, a mode which I hope they improve dearly.

I love the move. I'm a PE teacher and I'm going to get sports champions for my kids at school. The movements mimic what people do in real life. Its a blast and it'd be a great teaching tool!

I just looked at the prices for both controllers on Amazon and they amount to $80. Is there something I'm missing?

(however, I recall them costing a whole lot more, like $150 total... I'm not sure where I ever got that number from)

They shouldn't total $150........$50 for the main controller and $30 for the nav.
