So I realize this has been discussed over and over, but now that people have had their Vita for a little bit, do you buy your games only digital, only physical, or both? and where?

I thought I would be only physical because of the trade in and re-sell value, but I was reading that if and when a new portable system comes along my digital could be downloaded for possible use on that system.

What are your thoughts?

I started out getting a bunch of digital games, but I think I'm going to start getting the card versions. Main reason is because the 16 GB card I got at release has been eaten up quite quickly. And there's the games I can only get via download that I have to allow space for (speaking mainly of Pinball Arcade/Zen Pinball here - both are on my Vita with just about every table that's been made, and that does take some space).

I'm not really noticing the load times as being much different, either.

Re-sell ability doesn't really factor in much for me as I rarely sell my games back.

There is one other thing to consider re: digital versions of games if you're a Plus member - We're going to be getting free digital copies of some games pretty soon (November, I think). Gonna get crowded on those memory cards with those plus the ones we actually buy.

For games that don't come out on physical format I obviously DL, but I prefer physical copies of my games. Motorstorm RC, a few pinball games, and one other I can't rememeber are digital. The rest are physical copies.

I am with this as well.

PSN games like Pinball, the free Motorstorm, Stardust, etc obviously are digital copies. As well as free Plus games when they hit.

But for the main games that are BluRay or Cart, I buy the physical. 1) cause I am old school, and that is how I like, 2) the cart games have a faster load than the memory card buffer in most cases, and 3) they have huge sales even on new copies. Prices drop fast. You can get Mortal Kombat now for $15 brand new.

I buy physical because you can sell them when you are done with a game and digital is just slow to decrease in price but Im really looking forward to Plus for Vita.

I guess I'm the only person that's all digital haha. I like the convenience of not having to switch carts and not having to carry all of them. If I go somewhere, I just put my Vita in my pocket and all my games go with me.

FIFA 13. So, considering I didn't play the first one the Vita am I good to go on getting 13? I mean it sounds like it's a roster update to 12, which is OK by me because from what I heard 12 was pretty good. Right?

It actually is a solid title. It takes me back to my youth. Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, etc...

It actually is a solid title. It takes me back to my youth. Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, etc...

Yeah, it says the devs definitely have their eye on cross compatibility.

I would grab it. I was in your same boat..just got the Vita, passed on Fifa and grabbed Fifa 13. If I already had the other I may have passed.

It's crazy lately.. I have been just annoyed and tired of the console sports games lately.. The only sports game every year that never disappoints me is the show and of course the vita is great in my eyes.. As much as the vita gets hammered it has been my system of choice since it came out.. And I'm not that much on the go.. Just I'm one of the odd men who love the vita.. I'm excited for call of duty and to see what next year's show will offer..

Matt, if you didn't get the launch title then yeah, FIFA 13 is the one you'd want to go with. I'm still sticking with FIFA Soccer because there's really no difference between that and 13, plus I play FIFA in spurts and am still in the very early stages of Career Mode, so no real reason for me to get 13.

Like DDW, I'm not a turn-based RPG guy, either, but I did try out the Rainbow Moon demo on the PS3 and actually enjoyed the game, so I'll probably pick this up for the Vita when it is released.
