I was thinking the same thing. Those on the fence now might just wait till next year to get one when a price cut hits. I just don't get these guys anymore.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Where is:
Twisted Metal
God of War
Jet Moto
Destruction Derby
Max Payne 1,2 ($10 downloads) and 3 (Full release)
Grand Theft auto: SA
NFL Blitz
SSX
Twisted Metal could/should have been used as a system seller and they could have made it exclusive to the Vita for a few months and then released the full version on the PS3.
I just don't see a competent plan in place as of right now. They need an installed base to draw developers and instead they have rested on early adapters. I've never regreted my Vita purchase but I wish Sony liked the Vita as much as I do.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
If you have a Fry's near you and want to get a Vita, till Thursday the Wifi version is $199.
Not to get on a soap box but they are missing what makes this system great. They should have capitalized on a few of the past franchises that we don't see anymore while also port over some of the franchises that would be great for pick up and play experiences.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
This is great but I wish they cleaned up some of the PS1 titles. A fresh coat of paint on some of the major releases wouldn't hurt. It would also be nice if the Playstation store showed a few screen shots of the game so we knew what to expect.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
The battle system is menu-driven (I know you've mentioned you don't care much for those), but it is active time battle, which means you will get attacked regardless of whether you enter commands or not. So you don't have infinite time to make your decisions.
It is an SNES-era game, so you'll have the 2D character sprites. But the colors really pop on the Vita, and to this day I still think it looks very good. The PS1 classic you'd get on the PSN has a bit more loading time (especially when entering battles) than the SNES would, but it's still pretty minimal and nothing like PS1 FF6's long battle load sequence. The Ps1 version also has a few anime-style scenes from Dragon Ball artist Akira Toriyama, and several other extras, including the ability to save which endings you've seen.
I really don't think I can find a bad thing to say about it - it's truly one of the best games I've ever played, and if you have ANY interest at all in JRPG's, you owe it to yourself to try it or at least watch some early parts of it on Youtube (just not too far because you wouldn't want to spoil the story!)Comment

I will start my rant with this...
No one and I mean no one expected Madden on Vita to be as good as it was considering we had no video to go off of prior to purchase. I still have folks saying that Madden 13 is better on Vita than the Consoles.
I just hope this opens up Madden eyes and they release Tiger Woods 14 and the series of '14 games on Vita.
I can be honest and say I don't know how sales were for Madden but I have said it for two months they did an amazing job for a system they were clearly not focusing on due to the new console engine. So I beg EA to take the chance and give us one of each sports game on Vita....I apologize to basketball fans due to lack of EA releasing a basketball game but seriously EA you have the funds...make it happen.Texas A&M Aggies
