    Folks,

While I wait for a price drop on Hot Shots Golf: WI from the PSN store, which PSP version of the game would you all recommend Open Tee 1 or 2. Both were critically received; so I want to check if any of you all have any experience with the PSP editions.

OT2 without hesitation, as it basically includes all of OT1 plus more. All 12 characters and 6 courses from OT1 are there plus 12 more characters and 6 more courses. It's kinda tricky to get the OT1 characters as you have to find them on the course, but the courses and OT2 characters unlock as you play through the game's challenge mode.

Also...if you can learn Hot Shots' gameplay from this game, you'll beast on World Invitational. The earlier games were quite a bit more unforgiving than the more recent ones, but they're all a lot of fun.

I really love my Vita so far, but Sony made 2 really bad decisions with it.

        1) Disk space. Forcing people to buy a micro SD card in order to play games is annoying. making them proprietary and very expensive invokes rage. I'm sure this alone will turn some people off from buying the system. It screams gouging, and after the UMD mess that was the PSP you'd think they learned their lesson.

I just bought a 1TB portable drive for $60 (not for the Vita). Sony wants me to pony up more than that for a 32GB card for he Vita.

        2) PSN pricing. Being able to play PS1 games on the Vita is a great way for players to expand their library. Pricing them at $6-10 a piece is bit high. Every worse is how high the prices are for Vita games in the PSN store.

If they are going to push people towards buying the digital versions of games, then first make them at least as cheap as the physical copies, and second don't make the required storage for them so cost prohibitive on your system.

I'm afraid these decisions are going to drastically limit both the hardware and software sales of the Vita, and if sales are slow, fewer games will be released for it.

Agreed on the memory card gripes, but uh.. $6-$10? That's what, about what you'd pay for a No. 5 combo at McDonald's? Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Many of these games (the RPGs, particularly) offer dozens of hours of gameplay, way more than you'd get with a $10-$20 new PSN game.

I will say, the new Vita game pricing for downloadables are a bit steep. Seems like stores will cut prices on physical copies way more often than PSN will. Hopefully once digital downloads become more prevalent, we'll see prices closer to what steam offers for PC gamers.

              Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion

Was checking for the highly rated games on metacritic for the PSP to download to my Vita.

Two of the highest rated games were Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror - Critic 87 and User 94 and SOCOM Fireteam Bravo - Critic 82 and User 87 are sold as a package in the PS Store for 14.99 so I got them.

Search for SOCOM in the PS store to find this 2 game bundle.

I would like to get Hot Shots 2 but it's still 29.99. They need to be more aggressive with the pricing as this nice collection of older games is a good selling point for the Vita.

Rooting for the Vita to survive because it's such unique system, flaws and all.

Did either Syphon Filter DM or Socom FTB benefit from the right analog stick?

                Thanks

They're both older PSP games and they're on the download list after Darksiders so hopefully I'll check them out tomorrow and check back in.

Also try both God of War PSP games, unless you already have them on the PS3.

                    Killzone Liberation is also fantastic.

Have all the PS3 HD versions, still playing Chains of Olympus in 3D, it's a great game.

Some other titles I would recommend:

                        Daxter
                        Resistance Retribution
                        Patapon

I know I'm just that weird kind of stickler, but I wouldn't get a hockey game unless they could achieve 60 FPS with it. Something about hockey games just screams the need for it.

For instance, I never would have bought NHL 08, and went straight for NHL 09 when they went from 30 FPS to 60 FPS.

Where is this list you're looking at? Because someone else posted a list in this thread earlier that omitted The Show. Maybe the sports games just haven't been put in yet or whatever.

All the costumes and saves that you have on the ps3 can be used on vita and vice-versa which is good news.

                              Bad news about this package.

The Syphon Filter game doesn't work on Vita yet, only PSP. The SOCOM game does not use the right stick so it will take some getting used to, but since Syphon Filter doesn't work I called Sony and put in a refund request.
