All they really need to do is make a Pokemon game and sales will skyrocket.

Update on sales figures.
After pushing 325,000 units in its first 48 hours on the market and just over 70,000 in the subsequent full week, PlayStation Vita was viewed as being in somewhat of a freefall. Now, with new sales data released covering the Japanese market from December 26th to January 1st, we have a more complete picture of how Vita is selling in Japan.
According to a Media Create report translated by Andriasang, in that time period, Vita sold an additional 42,648 units, bringing the grand total of PlayStation Vitas sold between December 17th and January 1st to around 440,000.
Vita continues to be outsold by its predecessor. PlayStation Portable sold 62,764 units in the same time period. But the real winner continues to be Nintendo 3DS, which sold more than four times the units Vita did. It pushed 197,952 units between December 26th and January 1st.
There's better news for Sony on the console front. PlayStation 3 outsold Xbox 360 27:1 during that same week. But Vita being outsold by 3DS in the range of 4:1 continues to call into question whether PlayStation Vita can command any sort of hold on the Japanese market without a big game, much like Monster Hunter helped sell PSPs.
The top 20 sales data for software was also released, which showed no PlayStation Vita software. However, this could be normal even in times of more positive sales for Vita, since any game on the handheld can be purchased digitally via the PlayStation Store. And that will obviously all change if new rumors of a Vita Monster Hunter game are true.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
Monster Hunter would be their motivation to eat 6-9 months worth of criticism for the price and get another $50/console when it releases.
Will be interesting to see where the 3DS is at by then, and how low Tegra 3 powered tablets are.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I'd be all over the VITA if the price were a little lower, and if I could convert all of my UMD movies from the PSP over to the VITA ... I have around 50 movies (great for travel) for my PSP and I don't want to let them go for nothing, which is what I'd get if I traded them in, along with the PSP.Currently Playing:

In Japan, Sony had a transfer process setup for the UMD PSP games. I wonder if that ever comes here to the U.S.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I would be very happy to see a transfer process come this way, and if it included UMD movies, I'd be even happierCurrently Playing:

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I wouldn't bother with the transfer process since the publisher sets the price on an individual game basis.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
Interested in seeing what comes out of CES for Vita next week.
My launch haul at the moment is looking like:
Wi-Fi Vita
8GB card
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Then either Escape Plan and Gravity Rush (if at launch) off PSN, or Hot Shots Golf, or Modnation Racers. I wonder how much Sony is going to push it in terms of undercutting retailer prices here for the digital version of games. If I could save $5-$10 per title, I may just go that route and pick up one of the bigger cards.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Just an FYI, Ubisoft Announces Vita EU Launch Titles, Assassin’s Creed Vita Coming This Year
