Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
OlliOlli is fantastic so far. Easily the best skateboarding game since the original SKATE.
I will be picking up TxK as well, as Jeff Minter games (Tempest 2000, Space Giraffe) rarely disappoint.
Dustforce is fun, but I would suggest getting the PC version instead.
I don't think there has ever been a good Dragon Ball Z game released in America.Currently Playing:

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
To perform tricks, you do flicks and rotations with the left joystick.
Then you either hold the joystick down at the right moment to land in a grind, or you press X at the right moment to keep rolling along on the ground.
It took me about an hour to get used to the controls, but the game is awesome once you learn how it works. There is a ton of depth in the trick system, and there are 50 stages to skate on.
The soundtrack is also excellent. I've got my Vita hooked up to speakers right now just so I can enjoy it to the fullest.Last edited by jyoung; 01-21-2014, 11:53 PM.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Thanks for the help on the remote play guys. I actually am in love with it again. I did some toying with the settings myself. I unchecked the "Connect Directly to Vita" box that made the PS4 as an access point. My router is now my access point. I'm golden now. I love this thing!Last edited by kt-od; 01-22-2014, 01:13 AM.Comment

The controls are similar to Skate, if you've played any games in that trilogy.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Well my Vita brothers, I finally ended the quest on Saturday and traded in my Vita and all my games. I just hadn't played it in so long, the lack of support with titles I actually wanted to play killed it for me.
No Madden, NBA 2K, and just a reskinned FIFA with no connection to its console counterpart killed the system. I was one of the people who wanted a PS 2.5 type experience with the system, I'm not into indie games at all. Thanks to everyone in this thread sharing great information. It's a shame that the Vita hasn't been better-supported.Comment

The game library is not very robust. I'm not a big indie game guy, either, but there's a few games I like.
Honestly, if it wasn't for The Show being so good, and the ability to watch Netflix, YouTube, downloaded movies (I travel a lot for work), I would probably sell mine off to and just go with the 3DS. But, there's just enough there with the Vita that I feel like it's worth holding onto for now.Currently Playing:

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Until there is a better option for mobile gaming, I'll stay with my Vita. The Show and Madden give me my necessary sports fix. I also don't play many indie games (and skating is not of interest to me). I too wish it was better supported, and Sony really dropped the ball on this one, but the Vita is still a better system (for my needs) than anything else that exists. And this is coming from someone who doesn't own a PS3 or PS4 (so I am not even basing this on remote play).Comment

I really, really like Batman Blackgate. Upgrades, hidden collectibles, going back to explore...Batman. Just good gaming.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon.
