That was the easiest way to get them on together then I had to do the code from ps4 to the vita and bam... I'm on.
I don't think there's a code associated with it. It's just a message. I'll mess with it when I get home in a bit and let you know exactly what I'm seeing.

Also, try plugging in your Vita directly to your PS4 and see if you get the same error. If you remember what I was saying before, I don't think a wireless connection has anything to do with Remote Play in the house, it's all about proximity to the PS4. At least that's what others said.
Hey Blzer, yep, I did register the Vita to the PS4. I was able to turn the PS4 on (had it in standby) when I tried using Remote Play yesterday, so I know at least that part works. It's the next step in the connection process that I get the error message.

I am not sure what changed but I got home this afternoon, fired up Remote Play and it was near-seamless. I played a bit of NBA 2K15. Tough to play at times having to use the real touchscreen for a few controls, but all in all not bad and certainly a big upgrade from the PSP versions of 2K.

I need to look and see if Coach Mode is available for the game because I could go that route.

I need to find a game that has simplified controls that would work well on the Vita. Not sure what PS4 game that would be. Perhaps the Golf Club game? All other sports games likely require too much R2/L2 usage.

Too bad Sony doesn't have an attachment for those buttons you could clip onto the Vita. I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

Research how to use your ds4 while playing remote play.... of course only when youre home.

COD:AW is great. You have to sprint and melee with the rear touchpad, but the rest is awesome. Same stuff with GTA.

I dunno, I listed a few in some posts before that work out just fine, because the trigger buttons are appropriately mapped for you to do things like aim, shoot, and drive. No problems there.

I don't own a Vita, but I'd imagine the Golf Club's controls would be great on that system. Plus it's a great game, so it's a win-win.

In case anyone is wondering, NHL 15 does work fine for RP (though I had to change the control scheme to hybrid/buttons [to avoid needing the trigger for anything too important]). Now this is living!

That is good to know. I'll have to give that a try.

Okay, I'm glad you enjoy NHL 15 with hybrid controls. I was kind of in-between on that one. I believe I said I'd get back to you, but I tried it for a second before having to shut it off. Not because of the RP, but because my ****ing concussion dictates when it's okay to look at screens and when it's not.

I figure if you can play that with RP, other sports games really should be just fine... except maybe baseball, we'll still see about that when The Show comes out (though thankfully they have a Vita version for that).

Tried a game this evening and it was very smooth. The hybrid controls take a while to adjust to, but after a while I was able to find a good rhythm. Unless I'm missing something, the only things you can't do is manually change lines and dump the puck in.

Still, a nice alternative if I want to play some NHL.

Not sure what the discussion is about here, but there's no PS4 Hot Shots to do remote play on yet (unless by some chance Out of Bounds or World Invitational made it to PS Now). It's been announced, but not even out in Japan yet and it's always some time after that before it gets here.

In World Invitational's case, it started on the Vita and yes, it's a lot of fun and controls well.

I don't think a 3-point click option would transition well with the lag that there is on RP.

Yeah, losing manual line changes, for me, is the big sacrifice. But to have hockey on the Vita is easily worth it!

Funny, originally I was thinking I can at least do roster moves and non-game stuff, but ironically, that is really the only thing I can't do (you seem to need the L2 button for that stuff more).

Sucks about the concussion - sports related? I have known people that have taken a loong time to get past the post-concussion symptoms. I was lucky - 8 years of roller hockey as a goalie and no concussions.

Yep, I'm thinking The Show and Madden should work for me also (I hope). And, yeah, I will probably just play the Vita version of the Show (the franchise synchs between the Vitra and PS4 versions, correct?)
