Yep, I'm thinking The Show and Madden should work for me also (I hope). And, yeah, I will probably just play the Vita version of the Show (the franchise synchs between the Vitra and PS4 versions, correct?)
Yes for The Show. The game uses a cloud save feature that enables you to load your franchise on the PS4 or Vita.

In World Invitational's case, it started on the Vita and yes, it's a lot of fun and controls well.
      Was just talking vita controls

I've been using remote play for the past couple of weeks and overall it's a frustrating experience. NHL probably plays the best out of the current sports games, but you have to use a different control scheme and you lose the ability to manually change lines and dump the puck into the zone.

NBA 2K15 looks amazing on the Vita but good luck playing without true access to the R2/L2 triggers.

I still wonder why when Sony came out with the Slim model they didn't split the current triggers in half, so you'd have 2 triggers side-by-side on each side of the Vita (similar to what the New Nintendo 3DS has done).

That one change would've made remote play so much better.

As it stands now, I'll just go back to playing actual Vita games on the Vita and just save the PS4 games for the PS4.

That change + PR could have sold millions of Vitas IMO.

I got around the silliness of the backplate triggers by finding a case that helped me position my fingers in a more comfortable position but it still was far from ideal. Haven't used remote play in months and my Vita just sits in a bag uncharged.

I personally love Vita remote play, but only because the games that run best on it are least consequential for lag, and the developers seemed to know what they were doing with the controls (check GTA... you don't have to drive/shoot with the back touchpad, it has changed to the triggers and R3/L3 are in the front).

Haven't played any video game in weeks, though. Actually, over a month now I think.

That's good to know about NHL. I am going to test it out. Play time has dramatically decreased due to my 9 month old learning to walk. Play Madden when I have opportunity on TV but will be nice to play a little NHL while he is watch Octonuts and Chuggington.

It was really poor planning on Sony's part to not include four triggers on the Vita when PlayStation's home consoles have all had four triggers going back to 1994.

Most games these days use the triggers heavily, which often makes them unplayable when Remote Play maps the triggers to the Vita's touch panels and you can't change it.

I agree. If Sony would just release an update to allow us to use our DS4 with the vita (w/o any workarounds) like on the Xperia Z3 phones, or update the vita to have 4 triggers, I think remote play use on the vita may increase.

Think they're going the other direction still with it, as illustrated with no Vita mention in the Spotify partnership announced today and removing maps, YouTube and near support with the next update.

I could understand if it was like too thin to make happen, but honestly no clickable R3/L3, while less important, is certainly also much less excusable.

I use that literally every night when I sleep. I listen to podcasts and such to sleep. I'm not going to have my freakin' laptop on my bed!

                        This is outrageous.

EDIT: Actually, reading an article it sounds like Vita will be supporting HTML5, which might make it possible to get to on the browser. This is actually good news, especially if the PS4 also gets HTML5.

The browser on the Vita isn't very good, though. I'd rather have the app. Like you, I use it quite a bit, especially when I travel.

I flipped out when I heard about this, for the same reason. I find the Vita's YouTube interface the easiest to navigate of any version, and there are no ads, so I find myself using YouTube on Vita very often. The browser is just too crappy to be a viable substitute unless it gets significantly overhauled.
