erick, I have to imagine that you should just be able to pop in a cart and play after an initial set up. I'm sure you can skip the whole wifi thing as alot of people probably could care less about connectivity.

.i.e. Parents with kids, or even people with out internet for that matter. The thing would be a brick to them.

Assuming your location is accurate, 24 out of the 25 listed in that area have WiFi according to the McDonald's website.

Kevin, the official battery pack is $49.99 and is listed on BBY's and Gamestop's web sites. Not sure what the extra battery life is on that, but might be another option for you. From what I read, it works just like any battery pack you would hook up to your phone, etc. to extend the battery life.

Do you have a PS3 that is connected to the internet? You can supposedly update your Vita through your PS3.

One thing I'm pissed about is that the case that comes with the FEB can't hold the charger for the Vita. It looked on Amazon as though it had a compartment that could hold it. However the cord along with the brick and USB cable just doesn't fit.
