Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I think I read where PS1 games weren't going to be playable until a later update.
There was a list of PSP games that are supposed to work, but I also just got one working that wasn't on that list (MLB '10), so YMMV.

You can see which minis will work and which won't by going into the Vita PSN store and going through the list...if you don't see your game it's a pretty safe bet it's incompatible.Comment

it was no reason to keep saying "dont mean to upset you" when he already said in a previous post; no reason to keep saying it over and over. Was totally unnecessary and besides really wasnt asking him.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
SFA (unless you're talking about SFA 3 MAX) and 2 Xtreme are both PS1 titles, which, again - won't work until a later firmware update. Tetris is the only one that could work with this firmware, but doesn't.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
If one ONLY played games on physical media, does one need a memory card? Similar question, if you get a 3g version can the 3g be permanently ignored or does it force you to set it up at start up? Im trying to figure out what my actual entry cost for one of these things. Seems like if a memory card is mandator, the 3g bundle is the way to go but i want nothing to do with another monthly data plan. Now playing

Yes, 3G can be ignored, in fact it's exactly what I'm doing. It's one of the first things the Vita asks you to set up, but you can bypass it, get your Vita on the internet via Wi-Fi, and get the firmware update. From there you're good to go - the first time you try to go to the Store you'll be prompted to enter your PSN account name and password (or create a new one), and from then on it's linked to the system. No 3G necessary.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
You still need a memory card for game save data. I just tried starting up Hot Shots without the memory card in and it wouldn't start.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Let's get this out of the way first - You can't play Blu-Ray discs - it says as much in the online manual. I also tried Infamous (full game download), and that was also a no-go.
The only things I've been able to make work so far were PS1 Games and 3 PSN oddballs - the Gundemonium Collection. These were also the only things that worked on the PSP's remote play, FYI.
The videos that have been posted around the net are from people running custom firmware, right?Comment
