It was confusing at first for me but it works fine. I had to google how to set it up. Did you get to a setup step where you have to enter a code from your PS3 into the Vita, kinda like when registering a Bluetooth device?

Remote Play and Content Manager are two different things.

In fact, I'm getting an error when trying to connect to Remote Play (error code NP-2173-3).

I figured it out. I have Wipeout HD downloaded from PSN. Wasn't I supposed to be able to download a version of it to the Vita?

You need to enable REMOTE PLAY under NETWORK to get that to work. I was getting the same exact error. I missed that step. Apparently not only do you set it up under REMOTE PLAY on the XMB but also under the NETWORK menu

For some reason I thought I came back in the thread with an edit to correct myself as I figured that out.

Okay, so then how exactly does remote play work after that? If you select "Private Network," does that mean that you are connecting to your PS3 because you're using the same network that the PS3 is? And then if you're selecting the Internet option, it's because you are some miles away and using a different network than the PS3? I haven't really used RP before, so I don't really know how it works in that regard.

I was hoping to activate MLB.TV this way, but like everything else except my PSX games and music, everything seems to be unavailable.

My understanding is Private is just using the wireless from the Vita and the wireless from the PS3 to make the connection. Good for close quarters at home. Internet is just that, it connects over the internet. Yesterday at work just for fun I kept turning on and off my PS3 at home while I was at work. Wife finnaly texted me to tell me to stop it.

I don't think MLB will work this way. I have not been able to use the other video services like that yet

The carry case is has a seperate case inside for the VITA that is attached via velcro. Also has a lot of spots for cards etc.. and a mesh area for charger.
Anyways I can't find it online but got it from gamestop. If I take out the VITA case that is velcroed inside I believe the VITA with grips attached would fit but not sure. I'll check it when I get home.

The problem is, I have a case, and headphones. But no Vita.

That PDP case is like a over sized brick that you can knock someone out with if they tried to rob you. LOL! Hoping to find something smaller as an alternative but sturdy.

How are the screen protectors at BBY?
The detachable, inside case is soft but looks to be very protective.

Haha I used to do that with my PSP. Drove my wife nuts. And with the camera attached to the PS3 I could check out what was going on in the living room.

I just got this text from my wife:

"I really think you should buy a Vita".

I'm one of those people that stalk my prey for weeks before I hit "Confirm".

Now, what kind of memory card should I get. Is it possible to get buy on the 4G cards or do I need to spring for something bigger?

You could probably get by with just a 4GB, but it really needs a bigger card. I have 2 demos, the three AR games, all apps and the initial setup for 3 games (Uncharted, HSG, Rayman) and my 4GB is over half full. Personally I am going to use the 4GB card until I find a good deal on at least 16 GB, if not 32.

On a side note, out of warranty repair through Sony is $130, for those thinking about an extended warranty.
