Im loving the fact I earn trophies on the vita. the only true reason I, true trophy fiend, bought it.

    Whatever, don't judge.

Impression of my latest vita game: I'm going to break the buttons and d-pad the way I play mortal kombat. Ugh.

    Love it though.

I'm an now just hoping our gamer trophies/ scires carry over next gen.

I just think they're going about it all wrong. We did this on PSP...didn't work. Once the next gen systems hit, the vita will be even further behind. They're focused on tech, not software. It's been Sony's mistake since the PS3 launch.

I thought I'd love the show on it but I just play it on PS3 when I play the show. Uncharted was good but I beat that. HSG got too difficult for my taste. Unit 13 was fun but I got bored after awhile.

I guess I'm looking to be wowed and it hasn't happened yet. I think back to 360 launch and how it wasn't as strong as it became so that give me hope, but right now I'm not 100% sold that it's a great device for me.
The difference for me was that with the 360 launch, I could play my old Xbox games while I built my 360 collection. It gave me the best of both worlds. Now, Sony is telling me I can either have my PSP (with my 30 or so games, including NCAA football and NHL hockey) or I can get a Vita. That's what's keeping me on the fence with the Vita. If they made more of the PSP games playable on Vita (and gave me some deal (any deal) to get the PSP UMDs I already have onto the Vita, I'd buy in a heartbeat. Short of that, I have not seen reason enough to buy the Vita yet. The PSP lives on (for now!).

I've been mostly playing PSP games I never got around to on the Vita. Persona 3 portable FTW!

I do think Sony should've done a better job integrating PSP titles over to the Vita. I pulled the trigger and bought the Vita, mostly to continue my MLB The Show franchise over 2 systems.

There's other games out there that are really good and a few in the pipeline (Gravity Rush, MGS) that will help add to my collection.

I think sports games are vastly underappreciated by all handheld developers and game studios. I've got ideas on how to make sports games for handhelds that would be unique and fitting for a portable, but I need to focus those thoughts and put it in a blog.

I'm upset that there will be no NBA 2K13 or NCAA 13 or NHL 13 for Vita this year. You can buy the NBA 2K10-12 for the PSP from the PSStore and play that on your Vita. You can also buy MLB 2K for the PSP. None of the PSP versions of The Show are available, though, which is a little odd.

I played the Resistance demo last night. It was actually pretty long for a demo, and gave me a good idea on how FPS games can be integrated onto Vita. The control scheme worked out in a way that I don't have doubts about the boys making Call of Duty.

I won't buy Resistance, though. Hopefully they release some Vita COD stuff during E3.

They have to release COD info. That plus a price drop.

Will Gravity Rush be available in stores, or only through digital download?

I have GR pre ordered at my local GS, so there's your answer.

Perfect. I'm trying to decide on whether to pull the trigger on getting a 3DS or not, so I've got some decisions to make. If I go with the 3DS, I'd likely only get one of the following Vita games: MGS, Gravity Rush, Uncharted. If I don't go with the 3DS, I can get all 3 Vita games.

I think this cloud gaming deal that's been rumored is the answer to some of these pain points... sounds like another way to re-monetize titles that they haven't been able to bring to the handheld yet for one reason or another.

Could be why there was no UMD to PSV program in the US too.

Sort of off-topic for this thread, but have you considered buying the 3DS from Best Buy, and the game(s) you want to try used from GameStop? Best Buy has a 14-day return policy, no restocking fees, and GameStop gives you seven days to return used games. If you don't like the experience, return everything and you don't lose any money in the process.

I think I'm the only one in town with a Vita. I've seen one used copy of Hot Shots Golf and that's it.

Could I take the games back to BB under the 14-day policy as well? I'd definitely get the console from BB so I can rack up RZ points and also keep my credit card there active.

Unfortunately, no. Once you open up te games, Best Buy will only allow for you to exchange them. I bet there are a lot more uses 3DS games at GameStop than Vita games though. Besides, you don't want to buy used Vita games anyway... the Trophies get disabled!

I guess the downside of buying the used 3DS games though would be you might potentially miss out on that buy 2 get 1 deal at BBY.
