Does anyone know how the "transfarring" feature between MGS HD Collection on PS3 and Vita will work?

I mean, how are we going to get the saves back and forth? Is it similar to The Show's cloud saves? Or is a patch required for the console version?

I'd like to start playing on PS3 this weekend and just move the save over next week when I get the Vita game.

The feature existed on the PS3 version as a means to copy Peace Walker files from the PSP to the PS3, and vice versa. Of course, Peace Walker's not in the Vita game so I guess they're expanding the feature to include 2 and 3. It's not really cloud saving as there's no online storage involved or needed, it's just moving your files back and forth between the two systems.

And, I did get prompted for a patch on the PS3 version when I started it just now - that may be what it was for. (then again, I haven't turned this game on in a month or so).

Just a quick question for all that have bought PS Vita's. Now that E3 is over and you kind of get an Idea of what is coming down the line in terms of games, do you regret buying a Vita?

I myself am on the fence about buying one but the only game I see myself playing is MLB The Show. Five years ago I bought a PS3 to play MLB The Show and I have not regretted it but am contemplating getting a Vita and the only game I can see myself playing is The Show. Did anyone here buy a Vita just to MLB The Show? Just curious.

My apologies if this is a redundant post. Just wanted to hear some experiences with the Vita either way.

I love the system and the games I have. I bought it for the show cross platform feature and it delivered. Albeit with quite a few differences but I still think its solid.

I just hope we see more support in the upcoming months.

But for now I'm content.

Yes and I am regretting not holding off for a bit longer. After the lack of a showing at E3 and the lack of sports game support I'm kind of disappointed. I guess from what I'm reading I should have known what to expect since the PSP didn't have a lot of sports game support.

There are some good games non sports games out there so if you do a lot of non sports gaming you should find something to fit your taste.

I bought it for The Show and found some games to fill the void until it releases UC, HSG, and Unit 13 worked well.

Once I was done with those I really haven't found anything appealing yet though.

I bought it for The Show. But, since I do not want to risk patching my Franchise, the transfer option is off limits for me.

So with the Vita collecting dust, I keep scouring the Internet looking for a title to buy or download. But I am STILL so stumped.

I downloaded the Unit 13 demo, and am still way too hesitant on that. So other than UC: GA, I've got nothing that even spikes my interest.

I'll say it: I'm frustrated.

All of the titles are too kid oriented for me (Rayman, HSG, etc). I want a serious, emotionally complex experience. I'd even take something like Journey. But the Vita titles available at the moment are a borderline joke IMO.

Is there anything that I'm missing that has a deep (emotionally) storyline? Even if it's short. I'm into games like Heavy Rain, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect, Uncharted (which I will buy eventually).

I asked this once before, and it really yielded nothing. Other than the AC exclusive pending, I don't even know of anything to look forward to.

Outside of The Show, the only other games that intrest me right now are Hot Shots golf and Uncharted Golden Abyss. Any of those games any good?

I guess I can also look forward to Madden 13 but have not seen any screenshots of that yet.

Zone of Enders collection
Bioshock (maybe)
Yakuza (maybe)

First two maybes are because they will release on PS3as well, other two have been tossed around but not detailed.

Still want to try Resistance and Unit 13, might think about Zen Pinball.

Nope not one bit, and there are some great games coming down the pipe along with what we already have as stated above me..and no telling what they'll do with it once the PS4 drops also.


There are psp games that you can DL to the vita from your ps3... google it

I don't regret it one bit either, crap the vita has really been my main console at this point, honest when I game it has only been with the vital, guess that should have to do with I'm on the guy much more these days.

I can't stress to gamers out there I truley see the vita getting much better in time, this is in my opinion. I work in the IT feild and I'm that tech geek like many others, the vita is a very serious piece of hardware, it really is. In time with some patients I think we are in for a nice ride with the vita. Some may not see it now but watch. This day in age people are all about moblitity, and if I can play a system like the vita and what it can truley do with what its got under the hood, and give me games like uncharted and knowing it can produced graphics Luke Uncharted, I will continue to have faith in what I know can be don on the vita.

I for one am all about Having something as powerful as the vita as a system as a whole, sit tight I believe the game company are going t settle in an start riding the vita as they should. I don't make games, but I don't see how making steller games on the vita is hard for them.

I too am disapointed with the lack of sports games, but I'm sure they will catch on.

I know Sony has lost money and f'ed things up in the past, I just see tue vita failing at all.

i WAS excited about Madden until I read about it. Using the old 2012 engine and does NOT support cross platform saves. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the VITA with sports games.
