Beyond these we know there's hybrid games in the works (360 controller + Kinect), Star Wars, Child of Eden, Forza 4 will support it, EA Sports Active 2.0, UFC Trainer, and Dance Central 2 is in pre-production.
I like the sound of that list of games.

I was saying no but weak willpower and just finding kinect cool got me in...I used the "adopt early" excuse as well, since there aren't a ton of games out yet.

Move doesn't hook me much cause I have a Wii and it's basically the same thing...I don't need another similar thing laying around not being used, at least Kinect is something different that may or may not get used lol

I may pull the trigger for move if Dead Space 2 (w/Extraction) uses it. However, both Kinect and Move are lacking anything that makes me feel like the purchase is justified. Kinect is worse for me since I own the Eyetoy and would only need the Move "wand" (or whatever it is) @$50. Also the space needed for Kinect wont work out right now.

I understand the urge to buy it though. I saw one at Target on Tue and the kid in me wanted it badly. New toy...neat...

I'm in exact same boat as I also already have the camera. I keep saying "just go pick up a couple wands and the sports game....

What scares me most about Kinect is the range of games that will use it. I'm mainly sports and RPG's.... I just see the move as being adapted to those games easier and more often.
Then there's The Show if it used Move...

If The Show used move Sony would have to sell extended warranties on a user's TV cause you know a bunch of people are going to hurl that fastball right into the screen. I would like to see a game like Oblivion use the Move/Kinect system.

                Re: Kinect Reviews

I bought kinect this afternoon and 3 games making it 4 total. I got your shape fitness, kinect sports, and motion sports (ubisoft).

dude I'm exhausted. It really is very cool though...I really like it alot.

I would suggest people don't get it though for games like cod and such. I'll be getting cod like everyone else, but sit on the couch. This is good for hour and under spirts of energetic alternatve gaming. After that, you either do something else (i made dinner) or sit down, grab the controller and ply nba 2k or whatever. It's a different experience.

It is like a creepy glimpse into the future.

btw, my room is not bright at all and I'm having no problems.

I have more than enough space, but was still surprised and how I had to move my couch back to get optimal gaming. I put the thing on top of my TV which is fine, even though the sensor's stan is wider, it's just barely and the sturdy rubber material I'm no worried at all about it.

                Glad I took the plunge.

Ok I did what I knew I was going to do... get Kinect and Move. Despite earlier saying I had no use for motion stuff..... WEAK!

Just finished playing Kinect with daughter and quite frankly I was very surprised how fun it was and man am I beat!! lol Which isn't a bad thing as I need to lose a few pounds anyways.

Had absolutely no issues will calibration at all. I guess I have about 9-10 feet of room depth wise and plent side to side. Man it really was fun even playing just the add in game.
I'll be picking up the sports game possibly this evening now.

Hooking up and trying out MOVE (got combo pak(traded in old cam for 9.00 and put that towards pak also just to get a new one) with the sports game, and extra wand and Eye pet used)

Weak minded fool....and...I know EXACTLY how you feel...that's how we wound up with a Wii when it came out...because we are so tight financially I have no choice but to hold off.

But on a serious note, glad you are having fun. It is definitely novelty, where I say it is so fun at first, but then it does get so so. Had the same feelings with the Wii. But the idea of what can be done in better looking games from the third parties and first parties has me intrigued (like Killzone 3, etc).

As long as they can keep it fresh, and not "waggle" like the Wii was in almost every game.

How can some say the 6' "requirement" is an issue? It's a full body movement type game. It makes perfect sense that you would need that.

Well it's mainly going to be a media thing along with exercise. The daughter and I were laughing like crazy playing the games but man it wore me out!

Yeah, definitely good for exercise. Especially since it makes it less "boring" and gives you something interactive to do!

And great for the winter if you cant get out and go for walks or hiking outside.

Same. My wife and daughter want the dance game. My wife didn't like the sticker price though.

                                Kinect "Review"
The setup was pretty easy and the only real issue I've had was sometimes the wrong avator is used or correct at first then the recognition get wacky after a game and while the player stays the same thee avatar is changed. Other than that the setup was very easy and a non issue.
I have the Kinect right in front on TV on the TV stand, roughly knee high.
The voice recognition has been awesome and while it sounds geeky I love saying "XBOX..... Open Tray" etc.... Working the menus has been flawless and an overall smooth experience.

Now the only game I have is Adventures and although I've seen many people say how bad it is, I found it gave a good experience and my daughters and I have played it for roughly 3 hours today with the last session just ending. The game we all hate the most is the bubble popping. Snore fest really. The rest we had a blast with. Maybe we just didn't have our expectations very high but the important thing is we had fun TOGETHER.

As a father of a 16 and 15 year old daughter I can tell you getting time with them is a few and far between occurance. So the fact we played for so long together made the 150 price well worth it. They really have a blast with it. They want the dance game and sports game also. Sweet! as I can't wait to try out some more games.

                                Conclusion:
The Kinect will not replace, nor do I think it wants to, the mainstream method of gaming or games.
What it does go after is creating more "friends and family gaming" together experiences.

After we finished I had to get to the shower as I was drenched.
