Well I used it all evening last night while playing The Division and the guys said my mic was clear as a bell. I did do the firmware updates btw so maybe that helped.

Is there a way I could hook these up to both the Xbox One and Ps4 at the same time to use rather than hooking and unhooking the to slink cable each and every time?

      - Buy this - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G188Z7A/...190_TE_3p_dp_1
      - Make sure you have three toslink cables and connect them (1 from the PS4 to the switch, 1 from the Xbox One to the switch, 1 from the switch output to the A50 base)
      - Plug the A50 base into the PS4 via USB. When you talk it will automatically transmit to the PS4 (no need to connect a cable to the controller). The PS4 recognizes the A50 base as a headset and doesn't need a chat cable.
      - When you want to use the Xbox One, use the remote to change to the xbox one audio, and then attach a chat cable from the headset to the Xbox One controller.
      - When you're done with the Xbox One, use the remote to change it to the PS4. You can remove the chat cable.

This was my setup for a while. Worked pretty well.

Have you updated the firmware of the mixer and the headset both?

Well I just bought the A50's and watched like 25 YouTube videos on them and the A40's before I bought any and 99.99% of any issues are alleviated when one updates BOTH the mixer and the headset firmware from like at least half of the videos.

Note I say BOTH because they are separate firmwares. The most common issue, scratchiness and fading in and out are fixed by updating the firmware.

                    Gaming headsets

Purchases these bad boys yesterday , thinking I was set after a 4 hour gaming session with them I threw out the receipt.

Tried to game with them today and couldn't talk on the mic at all, I can hear through the headphones but no one can hear me [emoji706].

I figure it's only the microphone wire and search the web. Finally finding one and with just my luck a replacement microphone wire for $40 bucks on Amazon is currently unavailable [emoji36]

So now I have a pair of $80 dollar headphones which will be $120 after I purchase the wire. With my bad luck I'm betting it still won't work.

EDIT: For as much crap as GameStop gets and rightfully so, my local GameStop let me exchange my pair for a brand new pair this afternoon even though I brought my turtle beaches from Amazon [emoji4]

Any recommendations on headsets that plug into the ps4 controller? I want something that sounds good and also has a good mic? Is spending $80 and over on a headset that uses a 3.5mm jack a waste of money?

In that price range you should just get the Sony Golds, which are wireless btw

I hear they break easy at the hinge and the mic isn't that great. But mainly it is cheaply built and that is what kept me away. I want a headset to last.

Well,I've had mine a while and no issues. Just get a SquareTrade warranty for like $12 or so if the build concern worries you. The mic is fine, I've never known anyone to complain on PSN
