Re: Gaming headsets
Thank you.
I might have to get the x41 because I see that one has the optical which is what I need for my monitor and slim 360
Right now I am just using my iphone ear phones and connecting it to the back of the monitor, Games like COD sound great except I cant hear all the things like reloading of guns. or in madden, the tackles
I guess that is because I am not using the turtle baches.
Might get them soonComment

Might get them soon. You can get cheap JVC ear-buds at Wal-Mart that blow them out of the water.
You can either go the route of the optical headphones, or if you want the one with the RCA's you will need the Y-connector with the mini stereo plug that goes where you plugged your iPhone one's into.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Yeah, I iPhone ear-buds have horrible range. And no bass or anything. Just take them out of the package and toss in the trash,. You can get cheap JVC ear-buds at Wal-Mart that blow them out of the water.

Tell me about it, I was impressed with the sound of firing and footsteps being heard and sounds from a distance even with my iphone buds, but reloading sound was not there and in madden there was no sound for tackles or the dialogue of songs was no there either, just the beat...real weird
I am going to get the ones with the optical which is very nice and hopefully my gaming experience will be completeComment

And let me tell you, when you play action shooters, and you hear a sniper bullet buzz past your ears for the first time, it is enough to make your heart skip a beat!Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Gaming headsets
Looks like I am going to go with the Turtle Beach PX21 headset. Amazon has the it for $66 right now. Thanks for all of information and adviceComment

Re: Gaming headsets
That's a great headset, plus you can add the 5.1/7.1 Turtle Beach DSS later for surround sound. I got the DPX21 which are the same but come with the DSS. Plus the DSS can be used with other headphones such as the more expensive, audiophile type. What world do you live in?Comment

Re: Gaming headsets
I have the X11 and According to the instructions that came with my Turtle Beach Headset, if I have this adapter for sound I can still use my HDMI for video, but have my sound come through with the jacks and only through my headset and not my television and headset.
Does that sound correct?

Re: Gaming headsets
Tritton AX Pro's are great! Best thing is you can take the mic off, and still get Dolby 5.1 sound. Nice to be able to hear an explosion behind you, and turn around and kill the person chasing you down.
No need to hear anyone speak in you ear with the mic (which I loathe), because you can hear pebbles on the ground shifting with each footstep.
Those of you who bought the Turtle Beach headsets, save those receipts. Two died on me in less than a month.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 12-30-2010, 03:04 PM.Comment

Re: Gaming headsets
I don't know Brandon, it may vary from tv to tv. Because I don't use that adapter and can still hear through my headset only via HDMI.Comment
