Picked up a Arctis 7 wireless. Super comfortable but disappointed my goxlr only outputs stereo.

I picked these up from Amazon for around $50, hopefully they get the job done.

They look a lot like a pair of my Hyper X headsets. I am curious to hear your feedback on them.

I put aside my Sony Plats awhile ago and use two new headsets that I really like

HyperX Cloud Alphas: Great deep range, great mic, great on my PS4. It is a stereo set but man it sounds so good. Mic is top notch too

          Cloud Alpha on Amazon

Arctic Steelseries 7 - best headset I have ever owned, use on PC (but works great on console too), great mic, great spatial/3d audio

          Steelseries 7 on Amazon

Both are around 100 bucks or so, I highly recommend

The Sony Plats are still a solid choice but check these two out for sure. The HyperX are most comfortable out of all of them, but the Steelseries 7 are pretty comfortable too and sound SO good.Easy to set custom settings on the PC app too

I work with a slightly cheaper HyperX version and they're super comfortable and the mic is great for work. I'd get another of their headsets in a heartbeat.

What happened to all the open back headphones you used to use for gaming?

                  Re: Gaming headsets

I've never been a headset guy , but with my wife working from home and me not working at all and playing games all day , I picked up a Turtle Beach Stealth 600 headset. I normally play through my home theater system at a fairly loud volume so to give her a break I ordered a headset. I wanted to spend as little as possible but also wanted a good sounding and comfortable headset. I took a chance and ordered online , it arrived a couple days ago. Very pleased so far. Sounds amazing. Brings a whole new feel to my gaming. If you're on a budget maybe give these a look. You can find them online for $100.00 or a bit less.

Another good pair of headphones are the Sennheiser pc37x, $100 on massdrop. These are open headphones, with soft comfy cushions on the head band and ears, great mic for a gaming headset. I've had a few headphones and these are the ones I've stuck with the longest. My other sets (Phillips SHP9500, Astro A40, HyperX Cloud 2, Playstation Gold) have been collecting dust since I've picked these up.

Oh I still use my AKG 612 Pros with a Modmic setup but I also use the steel series. Main reason for this, the steel series have a different frequency tuning than the open backs and provide a different feel to the sound.

Wired or wireless? For me and the money nothing beats the mass drop PC37x. Super comfy, great sound and mic. I use them on my pc and Xbox whenever I play online multiplayer with friends. If I’m not going to chat with anyone I got my go to headphones the Senheiser 58x which are open backs but sound amazing.

I have them and they are great, no issues. I have never been a person to spend big money on headsets, but these work very well for my needs.
