It's finally shipping. As an apology, I got a $20 credit which I'll use to buy an eShop card to buy the map pack. I'll be getting all 3 games and the maps for $70.

They are. New NDS only, and no cross-buy with the virtual console.

Of course it would be N3DS only. I'm sure the 3DS could handle those games just fine.

Beyond those 9 titles, I wouldn't expect much more. Nintendo has trouble committing for some reason and has done a poor job with Virtual Console; it could and should be so much more.

Last year, they announced N64, DS, and Wii games for Wii U. Over the course of almost a year, they have only released 8-10 titles from each of those platforms, and these mostly came out in the first month.

I understand new license agreements would need to happen for non-Nintendo games, but that doesn't excuse how there's a ton of Nintendo developed and published games that aren't on the Virtual Console or only available on the Wii.

It comes off as only a stop gap measure to fill in between their software releases. I really hope they finally deliver on the concept of Virtual Console with NX.
