Is the framerate stable? I am a casual soccer fan, myself.

I think the framerate is stable. Personally, I love the depth the 3D adds to the game; makes the field and screen seem that much bigger.

A couple YouTube vids that I found quickly:

Took my little brother to Gamestop today so he could get some things

Ended up seeing this Zelda case I've been wanting and I couldn't resist.... It's a lot bigger then I thought it would be

Spontaneously bought the New 3DS along with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate... it's awesome having a new handheld system. I really only played Pokemon on my old DS many years ago, so this will be a nice upgrade.

I finally started playing Super Mario 3D Land and it's awesome.

I'm trying to put it down, but It's hard. The game does a great job bringing retro and modern Mario together. It's also the first game I actually don't mind the 3D. I usually don't even turn it on.

So I'm thinking about getting Xenoblade Chronicles since it's a New 3DS exclusive, and it seems to be well regarded. Any input on must-have 3DS games? I'm not too interested in Pokemon or Zelda, though.

                *Obligatory Fire Emblem Awakening recommendation*

Xenoblade Chronicles is great. Incredible world design, and a grand sense of exploration and adventure. My one piece of advice would be to talk to all NPCs and accept all sidequests, but don't go out of your way to often to complete them (there's really an absurd amount). As you explore and fight on your way to progressing the story forward, you will find yourself just naturally completing a ton of quests.

If you're looking for RPGs there's Bravely Default and SMT IV. In SMT IV you'll have to push through the first 10 hours as I've heard a lot of people say the beginning of that game is not very good. In Bravely Default you'll have to push through the endgame as I've heard that is extremely repetitive.

Thanks for the suggestions. I might just leave MH4U and Xenoblade as my RPG fixes. I've looked into Bravely Default, but I'd rather finish the PS3 RPGS on my gaming backlog.

I was looking into getting Smash and Animal Crossing, but I feel like I'd get bored pretty quickly since I've played every other installment on previous systems.. any thoughts?

5 1/2 worlds in on Super Mario 3D Land and I've got every star and 150 lives.

When did Mario games get so easy. It may get harder from here on out.

Bravery Default's combat and customization was pretty good, but the story lacked substance. It was still worth the trouble for me.

3D land was definitely easy for me too. Still fun, though. 3D World on Wii U is challenging though. I still haven't been able to beat the final level.

The game does get a little more challenging, but still, I was surprised how easy this and New Super Mario Bros. were. Guess they want to make these games accessible to the kids, which I understand to a degree. Too bad game developers didn't think that way when I was 8!

Or Nintendo can enter the 21st century and offer difficult levels. Some Games are too easy but donkey Kong is too hard. No excuse for not adding this. Can just offer extra hearts or take them away if they want.

Yeah, it's amazing that you can't choose difficulty levels for these games still.

I finished the new Legend of Zelda. Loved it. So glad that game came into existence.

Now I'm playing Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Really like it as well though I'm still confused on a couple things that don't seem to be explained anywhere.

For instance: Sometimes when I attack someone, they get to attack me back. Sometimes they don't. Why?

Also: sometimes when I place two soldiers together they both attack a single enemy. Sometimes the other character simply jumps away. Why?

Is there no option to defend?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
