The New 3DS is absolutely worth it.... So many good games

And yeah the stable 3D is a night and day difference from the older models. I got to where I never even used 3d on the old ones because of how darn still you had to be, but on the new one I use it nearly every single time

I'm really wanting to pick up a couple of the new 3ds xl for me and the kids. I'm really loving the mario games on the wii u, even going back to the wii version of new super mario bros 2.

How young is too young for the system?

They say not to use the 3d for anyone under 10 if I remember right. There is a setting where you can keep it off I believe

But as far as the other stuff goes like games just about all are pretty kid friendly..... It's just a great overall system for any age really

My son has been playing mine since about age 5. He'll now be 7 this summer, and now has my old XL after I got the New XL. Great system.

Is there any difference in the dsl and the 3ds other than the 3d?

Bigger screens, DS Lite (and DSi) just have D-pad control, while the 3DS models have a circle pad analog stick.

You could also go with a 2DS for your kids.

My niece has one and she's 6.

With the way kids are growing up with technology and can use devices that the older generation can't even use, I'm not sure there's a too young line. For kids, there's even more games out there dating back to the original DS that are really kid friendly that wouldn't appeal to an adult.

Trying to decide between the following to add to my DS/3DS library:

                      All 3 DS Castlevania games

                      OR

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. and The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask

                      Any thoughts?

I've never played Puzzle & Dragons before, but after watching the Giant Bomb Quick Look I might need to pick it up.

I'm not really a huge match 3 fan, but the way you match up blocks in this looks way more interesting, plus it has some pretty solid RPG mechanics behind it.

I'll have to find time to play this along with Witcher 3 and Splatoon somehow.

There is a demo for puzzles and dragons in the eshopp.

Been playing a lot of PES 2013 on my New 3DSXL this week. The super-stable 3D realllllyyyy makes the immersion better.

That's one reason I've always played my games on 3D (even on the older versions of the system); it makes the screen seem about 2-3 inches bigger due to my eyes focusing INTO the screen instead of ON the screen (if that makes any sense).

How is PES on the 3DS? I wouldn't mind adding a sports game to my 3DS library.

I'm just starting to get into the soccer scene, but it's a very enjoyable game. Good 3D immersion, and plays a good game (to me).
