I've pretty much ignored uncharted 2... are you guys saying it's worth the buck?
I find it ridiculously overrated myself.
Granted, it's a great, great game on a lot of levels (most of them technical), but I really think it's geared to a younger crowd. I don't know how old you are, but I'm 33 and I found most of it pretty cheesy, and the gameplay is basically just linear platforming and shooting galleries (which you could say about a lot of games, but that's kinda the point). I also find the controls a bit on the wonky side.
Runs great, looks great, and is a really fun ride, but I'd rent rather than buy. Just not enough grit or maturity for my tastes.

My opinion aside, lol - yeah man, it's widely considered one of the best games this gen. You've got no excuse not to check it out.
1. Modnation Racers if you want a PS3 version of Mario Kart but way way better. I can not begin to tell you about the online portion of downloading karts and players (huge win).
2. The Show, as you know.
3. Dead Space was just so awesome. I heard the demo isn't so great, so if you try the demo, you're getting a bad sample.
4. GRID for racing or Shift.
5. Little Big Planet seemed great at times, but it weirded me out. If you are on prescription meds, or illicit drugs, maybe you can make sense of it. It is creative, and is something you MUST try, but man...
6. Infamous may be something you'd love if you like Open World games. I loved it at first but grew tired of it quickly as I'm not into that type of play.
These are the games I'd suggest. Why didn't I mention Uncharted 2? Because there was an online glitch that won't let me play - something about loading models or what not. I'm screwed, so even though I played a tiny bit of an awesome single player portion, I got screwed with the online portion.

I'm 29, and only Metal Gear beats this series for me. It's the most immersive, easy to play game of all time for me.
