So after getting the system since Friday and playing it will my kid and having some alone with the U I must say I was so off the fence buy the system and now like I said in another thread, I'll eat my crow, really good solid system, I even got injustice for it for my own use and of course my son since he loves batman, I love being able to use the gamepad in the bed and chill and still get the experience, the EA titles not being released is really BS along with not being released on the Vita either...


Once the U gets the titles rolling I think the integration with the gamepad as it is really better then expected for me.

Enjoy the system thus far.

nah man, I'm really not like that anymore. I got over that phase of selling and buying. I still have my 360/PS3/PS Vita, now the Wii U, my kid loves gaming man and I don't know if its really a good thing at this point, but being a single dad and it being my son an I only, I spoil him.

I mostly play the Vita and that it, I'm a Techie and that's what I do for a living, but I'm liking the Wii U thus far, but Its not mine so I cant do anything even if wanted too, its my son system now.. I'll play it though LOL.

After selling more Wiis than Wii Us last quarter, Nintendo is taking a new approach to marketing: Wii Owners, Nintendo REALLY Wants You To Buy A Wii U, OK?

Nintendo must really not read any coverage of their press conferences. They should've known this 2 years ago when CNN thought that the Wii U was a controller add-on.

Next Zelda, Pikmin, Super Mario 3D Platformer, and Super Smash Bros. will boost the sales a lot once they come out. Unfortunately that's gonna be like in a year or 2.

A game like Watch Dogs will tell us where the Wii U really stands. If it can, at least, keep up with the current gen. Because at this point, it doesn't look like. I know, N isn't about graphics but still ... and i don't think the mass will buy into N's vision this time.

I own injustice for both 360 and Wii U and I'm not seeing a difference at all, so I think the U can handle its own pretty much.

FYI if you didn't know.. The WiiU virtual console went live a bit ago.
If you already own any VC games (that you play through the Wii menu VC)
that are re-released for the WiiU controls you can get it upgraded to the new WiiU version.
1.00 for NES VC games and 1.50 for SNES VC games.

Also it looks like all WiiU VC games can be played with just the gamepad if you want.

I own injustice for both 360 and Wii U and I'm not seeing a difference at all, so I think the U can handle its own pretty much.

I also just bought a Wii U on Friday! I bought the ZombiU package, then picked up Mario. I will be picking up Injustice on the 34.99 offer Toys R Us has this weekend. I am like you, I was on the fence but am pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to Zelda.

EA has confirmed reports that Madden NFL 25 will not be coming to Wii U. Responding to rumors, an EA representative provided the following statement to IGN:

“We will not be releasing a Wii U version of Madden NFL in 2013. However, we have a strong partnership with Nintendo and will continue to evaluate opportunities for delivering additional Madden NFL products for Nintendo fans in the future.”

When asked for additional context and if other EA Sports titles will be coming to Wii U, EA simply told us “we have no further announcements at this time.”

Last year, Madden came to Wii U a few months after its release on other platforms. On Wii U, Madden did not include the updated Infinity engine or Madden Ultimate Team.

We’ve reached out for additional information on what brought EA to this decision and whether a version of FIFA will hit Wii U this year. This article will be updated with any additional comment we receive.

For me it means zip honestly. I got a WiiU for mainly Nintendo games.
I wasn't going to buy multiple copies of Madden (360 all the way for league).

Bottom line is EA is cutting some losses and hopefully they use their resourses to make Madden 25 current gen and especially Madden next gen a better FB game.

Check out the digital games also. Some good ones in there. Loved Trine 2 and The Cave.

Can't wait for Pikmen, paper Mario etc.. and any Zelda games

And don't forget..any Wii VC games you have that get converted for Wii U controls, you can get your regular game upgraded for like 1.50.
