Re: Wii U Discussion
I'm not exactly sure how the PS4 version differs, but it is probably the best platforming game I've played the past two gens. Granted there hasn't been much platformers outside of the Big N, but I just can't stop praising the game.

I don't think they utilized the touch pad as I don't remember ever being prompted with that option. Loads of fun either way. The style and genre mashups as you progress are really cool and done well.

Re: Wii U Discussion
I cannot recommend Rayman Legends enough. My 6 year old loves the Castle Rock level so much he has made me play it 30+ times. Can be super challenging at times, but man o man the graphics/gameplay is sublime!
DK Tropical Freeze is another must have...the difficulty ratchets up big time as you go but wow is it pretty to play.
Pikmin is tremendous!
Games on Amazon run $25 or less except for 1st party titles.
AC Black Flag, Deus Ex and Splinter Cell are a joy to play on the gamepad or on the TV with Gamepad assistance.
So many cool game son the WiiU.
It has surpassed the Dreamcast as the best system many haven't played.
Such a gem.teaching.............still fun
video games........I wish my boys would let me play
watching Tottenham vs. Liverpool at White Hart Lane............2004 was a long time agoComment

Re: Wii U Discussion
The Wondeful 101 has been tough so far, started the game on normal, may consider knocking it down to easy since Normal seems to be pretty tough. Took me a little while to get the hang of the morphs. For the life of me I couldn't form the fist, until I figured out I needed to be drawing the circles wider, at first I was just making a quick 360 motion on the stick. Hitting that perfect string of Team Unite morphs feels great though.
Also couldn't even tell the WiiU was refursbished. Looks brand new out of the box, no blemishes on the console or the gamepad. My brother had a Wii that he doesn't use anymore so I borrowed the Wiimotes from him and Mario Galaxy 2 to play. Never played the first but I assume I can jump into 2 no problem.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Remember to save the vegetables you collect until you get 30 of each to create a Wonderful Credit Card. Custom Blocks are really expensive. Get Energy Converter and pair it with Attack Liner, then draw a line at an enemy and watch your health refill (). Also, I found the Speed Liner upgrade to help a bit with drawing morphs.

MK8 is getting two add-ons
Mario Kart 8 will be getting more extra racers and tracks this November, Nintendo has revealed.
According to the Nintendo UK Store, the company is planning two add-on packs. Each will include two new cups with four courses, along with new vehicles and characters. Notably, this is bringing in characters and vehicles from outside the Mario universe.
The first pack, releasing in November, will include Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, and Link, four new vehicles, and eight courses. One of those new vehicles will be the Blue Falcon from F-Zero. he second pack, coming in May, includes Villager, Isabelle, and Dry Bowser, plus four vehicles and eight courses. Purchasing both, either as a bundle or separately, will also net you eight differently colored Yoshis and Shy Guys.
These have only been announced for Europe at this time, for 7 pounds each (approximately $12).Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
Just joined in the world of Wii U. Got my boys a 32GB Deluxe version with Mario Bros., Super Luigi, Donkey Kong Country:Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8. I love it. The controller is off the chain. Are there any good kids games I'm missing for them? They are 8 and 5. I know a new Smash Bros. is coming out at Christmas. Also, I've got Netflix and Amazon downloaded on it. I saw there is YouTube available, as well. Any other must-have apps? Thanks in advance for any pointers. Really hoping this thing starts to take off. We loved our Wii, and would love to have many years of enjoying this console. At least it's backwards compatible!Note to Tiburon Marketing:
A great product sells itself, no "back of the box" features required! (See Fifa...)

Re: Wii U Discussion
I can't decide on my free game from the MK8 promotion. Have narrowed it down to Pikmin 3 and the Wind Waker.
Haven't played a Pikmin game before but did play WW on the cube. I'm a big Zelda fan though which is why I guess I'm undecided.
Doesn't really matter I know since they'll both be good gets but anyone played Pikmin 3? Is it tough? Looks casual friendly, etc.

Re: Wii U Discussion
Mario Kart 8 is amazing. The more I play it, the more I love it. Tomorrow the game is getting the Mercedes free pack which seems silly to me. That Link and tanooki-suit Mario pack gives me a wowzers in my trousers though.Comment
