I was too scared that ZombiU was a dud so returned it before opening. Reviews are all over the place with that one. I'm sure I'll get it eventually, especially after more user reviews from here surface.

You can't even really post anything negative in the Vita thread without a handful of 'nothing to see here, Vita is awesome' posts. I hope this thread doesn't turn out the same.

Don't think anyone in this thread has been all Nintendo, We've posted issues when we see them. Have absolutely no problems people posting them as we need to get them out.

Mestevo, I know you own all the consoles......but man, a lot of times you come off as an xbox homer when responding in certain threads. You never post anything negative against MSFT, but always against all the other brands which gives people the notion that your posts can be one sided.

The Vita and Wii U obviously have their issues for sure, but there are people that are enjoying them. Now if people do not want to open their eyes to the issues, then that is their own problem to find out about.

Neither this thread nor the Vita thread have been strictly positive happy lands. Pretty ridiculous statements. I'm not surprised by the individuals who feel that way lol.

Aaaaaaanyway, loving the impressions from Sky and everyone else. Sounds like there are certainly some kinks to work out, but that's a hardware launch for ya. By the time I can pick one up hopefully most of these things will have worked themselves out.

Did everyone remember to turn off the auto shutdown feature? If not just make sure your game is saved if you walk away or leave for a good while.

My External (Toshiba) HDD I "think" works. The console seen it and formatted it.. but once so far it couldn't see it... Only happened once though but I'll watch it,

            What external you guys using?

No external yet. I looked at game saves on my system and they are tiny.

After the joystiq review I am probably opening zombiu later.

Yeah but if you decide to start downloading games the external will come in handy. I'm a "disk man" myself so I don't even know why I'm worrying about it. Lol

                        Re: Wii U Discussion

You can also go to the MiiVerse and see all the other players impressions on each game as each game has it's own discussion area which is pretty cool. Get tips etc..
With ZombiU there are some "terrible" but surprisingly a lot of "Great game" "Intense"..
So just like the reviews there seems to be a real variance in impressions.

I can tell from watching the ZombiU videos that I would really enjoy it. Is it coming to any other consoles after the WiiU launch window? I just don't have the money to invest in another system right now.

                                Re: Wii U Discussion

so I bought a wiimote+ and an original wii pro controller (the wired one for 19.99.) Can the wii pro be used in place of the wiimote?

For example...new mario u shows the gamepad + wiimote icons on the back. For players 2-5, can they use the wii pro controller instead of the wiimote?

However I did see the giantbomb quicklook for nintendo land, and it looked like in the zelda game all additional players needed a wiimote to use the motion controls for slashing the sword. But maybe there is a controller option to use button controls instead?

The reason I ask is because if the wiimote isnt necessary (not counting original wii games,) id rather put that towards a wiiU pro or at least an additional wii pro controller. And want to get that straightened out before I open any games.
