This might sound dumb but how the hell do you go back to the wii menu while in a game? I keep having to power off cause I can not pull up the wii menu.

Other then that, I love it. Black ops 2 is smooth as silk. Looks great too. Played multiplayer and went 8-5 with the game pad.

I am reading about frame rate issues on ports for Madden and NBA 2K13 and even first party Mario with weaker graphics isn't running in 1080p. Even for first generation games a system that is 6-7 years newer shouldn't have to work hard to keep up. I've also read the tools provided for the developers are lacking right now and that the final system was different from the dev kits so hopefully this will improve. But it seems this system has about the same power as the current consoles (better in areas of RAM and worse in others).

We'll still be giving this to the kids for Christmas but I am surprised and disappointed that the Wii U doesn't have a little more juice.
I have Nba 2k13 and the framerates are bad. the graphics are not in 720p minus the cloth physics are better than 360 in my opinion thats why i wish and hope and now pray for a patch to fix these framerate issues in broadcast cams.

Nintendo land is an absolute blast. A must have for any family.

The competitive games on it are awesome.

Tomba, what makes you say that? I'm not doubting you, however you have remarked how poor the frame rate is on the sports games. I'm seriously considering the purchase because its the first party games that appeal to me. But it'd be nice if the 3rd party games ran as well as the exclusive games.

Picked up a basic console from Wal Mart (all they had left) on a whim during my lunch break today. Made for a long afternoon.

I went to GS to pick up my games and such - after trade in's and various rewards members perks at I was out the door with Mario/ZombiU/Mario themed Game Pad Protector for $30. Self-Five!

I'm not big into Nintendo, as soon as PS1 came out I never looked back. But I have grown kind of tired of my rotation of continuous sports titles/serious games. I figured this would bring back some genuine fun to the equation.

Can't wait to dive into this thing...you guys weren't kidding about this initial system update though...

Didn't know that, good knowledge for future downloads though. I just switched to my ps3 and got in a few rounds of Black Ops while it was doing it's thing.

Played Nintendoland last night and it was very fun! The racing played lots better than I thought it would. Just need to get some of the MP games a shot.
May get some more Mario time in tonight once I get all settled in.
Will probably pick up ZombiU again for theis weekend..... guess i should have just stuck with it... lol

So far through despite some of the early issues the console is doing what it's supposed to do, provide some enjoyment and stress relief. Hopefully as more games get made the gamepad will continue to add to the experience.

Girlfriend just busted in the living room wanting to watch Dancing with the Stars or something, right before I was about to go into a COD match.

Before WiiU, we may have had a dilemma on our hands... But with the WiiU, I grabbed a pair or headphones, switched the display over to the gamepad, and enjoyment was had by everyone in the Jgainsey household!

The graphics and all around performance on the gamepad were great. And the overall feel of the gamepad is really starting to grow on me. I didn't have any trouble at all switching over from the pro.

I got the call today from Gamestop that my premium Wii U is ready for pick up. I pre-ordered about a week after the day one pre-orders sold out. Looks like the demand is nowhere near the level it was with the Wii.

Doesnt even feel like a console game. Its more of a handheld game. It forces you to play on the gamepad.
