Discussing it is one thing. Popping in every so often saying the same stuff over and over is pointless.

So the pad is a gimmick and seems flimsy, its underpowered, it will be obsolete in a year or so, they screwed up the button layouts, only 32 gig or 8 gig hard drives(can use external though but not all work well), price of games may be a bit high like Scribblenauts and we still don't know the full specs.

    What else?

I dont know anything about madden playbook stuff because I dont play it but you know good and well that comment you just made out of frustration was bull, and trying to insinuate trolling here is as well

This sytem is no more special than any other including the wii. You're assuming everyone knows everything when thats completely false. Everybody doesnt rush out and just buy stuff on a whim because its new, especially when trying to avoid past mistakes

Remember I just responded to a comment you made about the PS3 and Vita and to be honest this system is nowhere near the PS3 and you inappropriately tried to tie something in that wasn't so.

I think most people are sitting here reading comments to see what the real deal is and probably haven't said much, for one its not really generating a huge response like the wii, and two launch systems seem to always get the stepchild treatment which is another thing people are watching for

Is that a HDD issue (not issue as in problem) or will the 2 USB hookups keep it from going into sleep mode?

Looks like I'll trade in Madden tomorrow and put towards Lego City. Just too used to the 360 button configuration. Wish they would have had a control edit in Madden.
Skyboxer, can the Wii U be setup upright? For some reason I thought it was only flat.

I made that comment because you should know better to make that BS repsonse. I've never been one to be a fanboy of any system or company and I've posted negative. I've been an EA and 2K ***** and lover in the same day on here etc..
I just don't need to pop in every day or 2 and repeat negatives.
Again we've talked about the negatives and what we like about the games/system

Who said it was special? I didn't and I actually own the system. In fact been saying it's simply a Nintendo system that I mainly got to play Nintendo games and I thought the gamepad adds to it. Problem is other wanted or ASSUMED it was going to be a "special" system and were wrong. We all only know what we have been told. No one is coming in here to share new info but instead just bringing up the same ole.

Remember I just responded to a comment you made about the PS3 and Vita and to be honest this system is nowhere near the PS3 and you inappropriately tried to tie something in that wasn't so.

I have never compared the WiiU to any system. I said AGAIN the gamepad functionality is what some want with a VITA and PS3 connection and with 360- Smartglass connection and that it's a gimmick with Nintendo but a feature with 360/PS3.
I also said I could not own a Nintendo system alone and it's a system to complemenet my gaming vice...and I actually own the WiiU.

Hopefully they are and can make an decision on whether it's the right system for them or not. Again we know the issues and have discussed them but there's always the same responses and rehashes over and over

Yeah it came with 2 legs to have it set upright. I just never had any system I put upright... May try it and see what it looks like in my stand.

Daughter just got done about 1.5 hr run on Scribblenauts... She loves it so that gives us another game to have to good times together.

Man you taking stuff way off the wall now. Nobody said anything about a fanboy or a negative comment.

I can only talk about what I said because you as an owner "enjoying" the system seem to not necessarily know why you might be seeing people make comments about gimmicks... From the outside looking in I just offered an answer to you, not for you to make it seem like it was me, but people on the fence are most certainly looking at what differs this system from the current gen, and they arent seeing much system wise.

I dont know who you're referring to talking about popping in every two days saying the same thing. To be honest with you it doesn't seem like enough people care about this system for some reason or another, to do that much negative commenting

Nobody is looking for you as a personal reference, just overall what experiences are including yours.I dont care if you enjoy the system or not, its your money you spent, but again I have an issue with that comment you made, then turn around and try to insinuate people are trolling.

You've completely lost me on what the heck your issue is because for one its not clear who you're talking to when you keep saying people are coming here saying the same thing and secondly the term special simply means you seemed to have a problem with the fact that someone else's peception hasn't changed from a negative one to a positive one

As I said, this is a site dedicated to sports gaming, not the wiiu, or just for who has the wiiu, so when you say stuff like
Can we move on now and let people who are into the system enjoy an area to discuss it now....
That absolutely is NOT what this site is about and I'm sorry but you just can't do that when the discussion is not something you want to hear.

Dont like it don't comment on it, and YOU move on.

True and this thread is about The WiiU, not the PS3 or 360. I'll use that thought process.

Dont like it don't comment on it, and YOU move on.
With all due respect, I'll move on when I decide to, not you. I plan to keep discussing new things that come up and not rehash old ones unless Nintendo or developers make improvements.

At this point this thread to some degree has gone south from those outright bashing the system cause they feel its a rehash and then you have those that own the system and love it. I can see both sides of the coin with the argument on the Wii U. I think this is the case of yet another decent secondary system for those that own a PS(x) and Xbox(x).

Scribblenauts does in fact have a glitch. Happened to my daughter also. Whenever a character you create gets killed it locks up. You have to unplug the system to get system to reboot.

Another bit of info or I should say good/bad.

This system (except for games you can just play with Wimote)
Isn't really "built" for the marathon gaming times. With the 5"ish hrs of charge on the Gamepad its not suited for that.
Now it is hard to get out of that mode when you are used to playing hrs on end with the other consoles. You can play while you charge the gamepad though but its ac charge only as the system itself doesn't charge it. (Unless I missed a usb cable for it thats available.)
So yeah its not like just plugging up the charge kit thats hooked up to the system. And yeah I did run an extension cord the other day lol

Not even sure if the WiiU could charge it.

I was having frequent freezes/crashes earlier today. This was my first day actually playing and not too long after I popped in NintendoLand I started having problems. When Wally World gets a new batch, I may have to swap for another system. Funny because I had the same exact issue with my launch PS3 20GB (YLOD).

Don't think its a system thing but a software thing. well for Scribblenaughts anyway since it locks up the same way each time.

Check out the Nintendo forums as there's discussions there about them.

Just played ZombiU for the first time and it was a blast except for a couple rats that had me on edge...
It was pretty intense and I'm on my 3rd survivor. I panicked with first one and I knew she was screwed then. The second was just me not being careful. Hopefully I can get my stuff back as I got some flares and 3-4 Boxes of ammo....
Will get back into it tomorrow.

I wasn't playing zombies at all, and no one was on when I got on (I ended up getting on later than I wanted).

2k13 feels like a 2k hoops game to me. I don't get all bent out of shape by shoes and cloth physics...I just want it to play a solid game of basketball, and it does that, and I'm happy. Haven't spent a ton of time with it, but I look forward to spending a bit more with it this weekend.
